"Cor." Doll walked slowly through the middle of Espoir - slowly because she was so busy staring up and around at everything with her mouth wide open that she was afraid if she moved any faster she'd either run into something or swallow a few bugs

Spain had been walking to meet up with America, like he had promised, when he saw the girl. She looked a little...lost, and Spain guessed that she probably was new. He had looked much the same when he had first arrived, after all. So he walked towards her, because being helpful was something he simply did, and she seemed nice. Or, at least, everyone seemed nice to him at first.

When he was close enough, Spain grinned and waved. "Hello!"

And then there was a person! Doll jumped a little at his arrival but quickly regained her composure. "H-hey."

She crossed her arms over her chest with a frown, now all serious since he didn't look like much of a threat. "Oy, where is this?" If he said the Land of the Sugarplum Fairies, she was out of there.

Spain wasn't much bothered by her crossed arms and her frown, and he simply smiled and said cheerfully in response, "Oh, this is Somarium. It's kind of..."

He trailed off for a moment, trying to think of a way to describe it, and then he added sheepishly, "I'm not really sure how or why, but I guess it's kind of a different world."

A different world? ...She had to be dreaming. Wandering into magical worlds only happened in fairy tales. This couldn't possibly be real. She had to wake up and get to Joker.

"R-rght. Pull the other one."

It was a nice, sunny day, so Dinah decided to take advantage of it by sitting on her front stoop while she carved some pumpkins of her own. She was a bit shaky at it, since it was the first year she'd done this. Aunt Jane had never trusted her mentality enough to let her wield the knife. But she thought they were turning out well, considering that.

She picked up the last pumpkin, a tiny Jack-Be-Little, and carved the lid, setting the knife down as she scooped out the pumpkin's guts, wiping the pumpkin juice on her apron and leaving faint orange trails in the wake of her fingers. Then she picked up the knife again and started in on the first eye- when a shadow crossed over her.

She glanced up to see the woman wandering through Espoir open-mouthed. Oh, a new arrival? She cleared her throat, then spoke up. "Oh, hi. You must be new here, right?"

"New?" Doll's attention snapped to the woman who'd addressed her. She appeared to be making one of the lanterns she saw about town. Had she made all of these? It didn't seem possible. Others had to have been involved.

She wasn't sure how she felt about having stumbled across somewhere that new people were readily apparent in. This wasn't like the circus. It was some whole crazy... city. But what else could she say?

"Yeah, guess you could say that. S'not like I meant to come here on purpose, though." If she wasn't dreaming, she'd certainly wound up in something out of a fairy tale. How else could she have been in the woods at one moment and in the middle of a city the next?

"Well, no. I don't think any of us meant to come here." She set the jack-o-lantern off to the side and stood, wiping her hands on her apron again so that she could toy with her hair as she thought.

How to best explain this... well, blunt honesty seemed to be the best course. "You see, this place is... it sounds pretty crazy, but you're in a dream world. Called Somarium."

"If it's a dream world, can I jus' dream my way outta it?" Doll grumbled. She had to admit, the place was pretty spectacular looking. But... she had other places she needed to be. She didn't have time for this.

"Just wake me up, yeah? I'll put this down as a possible vacation spot. M'sure the others'd love it."
