Well, it looked like the invasion was finally over. Dominic was relieved for that--between it and the sandstorm, the past while hadn't been easy. Fortunately, his cuts were healing, and he barely noticed them as he walked through Espoir, rifle still on his back. Even if the monsters didn't seem to be here anymore, he wanted to stay on the cautious side.

He paused when he heard the sound of music, before noticing someone playing a flute nearby. It was... odd, to say the least. It wasn't exactly something he'd ever do after facing a life-threatening situation.

It wasn't worth thinking about, however, so he continued walking.

The idea that what he was doing was strange, or that he might appear to be strange hadn't crossed him mind, what with all the strangeness he had seen just on his first day here. For him, it just seemed like the right thing to do. But he was quite aware of his surroundings, even though his eyes had been closed during his playing.

The sight of someone with a rifle on his back made Yunoki a little nervous. He really wondered what kind of place he had landed in. And also, what was happening here, to require such a thing.

No, he felt like he was quite normal compared to much of what he was seeing.

He wasn't sure if this was someone he should talk to. Even if he ignored the rifle, this person appeared to be someone who looked hurt and cautious. Altogether, it looked like he had been in a fight. And if there was fighting, Yunoki thought it was best that he stay out of it. He was in no position to fight, that was one thing he knew.

But seeing this person did give him a bad feeling about this place...

In the end, Dominic decided that he probably shouldn't just ignore the person. After all, he was carrying around a rifle for a reason, and while he couldn't tell by appearance alone, it didn't look like this man had any means of defending himself.

"I'd keep my guard up, if I were you," he said, his tone blank. It was simply a statement. "We don't know if it's truly over yet."

Yunoki was a little surprised when the young man changed his mind, but politely put down his flute and regarded him. What he said only served to make him worry more about the place he'd appeared in. But it seemed that he was a good guy, and if he was saying things like that he probably knew something.

"Ah. Sorry, but... what is the 'it' you're talking about?"

Although... he was a little afraid of what kind of answer he might receive.

Hihara was walking back to his cottage, which, he was happy had been rebuilt. He'd also been happy to find his trumpet in his room, unharmed. He had just reached his porch, when he heard it. The unmistakable sound of a flute. And not just any flute, either. That was a flute sound that Hihara knew quite well.

Hihara threw open the door and dashed up the stairs, grabbing his trumpet, and back down to the porch. He didn't know the song being played, but if it was who he thought it was... Hihara started blowing in his trumpet, playing Holst's "Jupiter".

His playing had finally calmed him down and he felt better, when suddenly, he heard something he shouldn't. Or, better, something he didn't expect to hear. It was the unmistakable sound of "Jupiter", and the unmistakably bright and warm tone was such a welcome sound.

Putting the flute away, just to be safe, he used his ears to follow the sound to it's source.

Just as he suspected.

"...Hihara?"

Hihara's eyes went wide. Was it... was it really...?

"YUNOKI!!!" Hihara carefully sat down his trumpet, and ran and glomped his best friend.

Just when he thought he was alone, he found Hihara? He still couldn't believe it. But it acted like Hihara. He laughed, quite used to this. It was just one of Hihara's endearing character traits.

"Hihara, what are you doing here?!" Not that he had a good answer for why he was here. But at the same time, he was glad. If nothing else, he had his best friend here.
