[It's only now that Kallen has begun considering that, hey, maybe this hadn't been the best idea in the world. She would be willing to admit that being trapped in the closet

[Lelouch glances over to Kallen, then to C.C., then down at his hands, then anywhere else he could possibly focus his eyes. He obviously had not thought this through before he sent Kallen the message to come to his home for refuge. It's not as if this had been the first awkward encounter involving these two women... but, for some reason, this just seemed particularly worse. He couldn't escape to his quarters, he couldn't corner C.C. and tell her to handle things, he couldn't give orders to Kallen to go do something... anything.

He sighs.

Asking C.C. her opinion before he sent that text message to Kallen would probably have been better. However, this was obviously the best situation, as undesirable as it might be. He just couldn't have let her stay there and end up getting injured as a result of his actions.

He looks back at Kallen and offers a strained smile.]

And even if we had a strategy the chances of even meeting with her is very little. Besides she's not a very talkative woman. I doubt she'll give you much.

Well, strategy's what you're good at, right?

[She looks back at them for a second.]

I'll go check on the storm.

[She tromps back up the stairs, walking slowly, footsteps loud. This leaves C.C. and Lelouch alone in the room for a moment.]

[As soon as Kallen was out of ear's reach, he grabs C.C.'s arm and pulls her close to him. His face is noticeably distressed as he speaks in a hushed tone.]

I cannot go on like this, C.C.. I can't handle the two of you like this... especially after what has happened between us in Britannia. It's just not a situation I ever felt I would be in, but I couldn't let her stay out there and get hurt.

[He stops abruptly and stares at the woman, waiting for answers, demanding her assistance.]

[doesn't even flinch at the sudden pull, blinking at him calmly]

What will you do? Kick her out? If you try that, she would only get a higher chance of being killed.

You could have one of us go to another section of the house, but it could be infested with monsters at this rate. Besides, she already knows everything, Lelouch. She's from a time past ours.

I know that. I know all of that, but it doesn't make things any easier for me. [He sighs, letting go of C.C.'s arm] I wouldn't kick her out. She will stay with this until things are how they once were in Somarium.

Considering what time she comes from might alter how she treats you somewhat. Or haven't you already noticed?

Mm, I've noticed. [He looks toward the stairs then back at C.C.] If the winds were still as strong as they were earlier, she would have already returned. Should we join her?
