Who: Sanji | | anyone Where: What use to be Cottage 19 || Noon Lull Style: Third at first, but otherwise Either Status: Open [trying to get myself motivated again]
His own housing hadn't held up very well either. Cottage 20, Nero's once short lived home, was now in ruins. Windows broken, collapsed walls...it was just a pile of useless debris now. And to his misfortune, he had himself pinned under most of it
( ... )
He looked up bemused for a moment, he hadn't expected the plank to move on its--Oh. Some guy was holding it up. At first he didn't say anything, just taking the time to crawl out. It was a good thing that Chopper had been taking care of his leg otherwise this would have been a lot more painful.
Finally sitting on the ground, one leg propped up and a cigarette pressed between lips, he finally took the time to look over this new man.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Thanks for the help." Just a sweep over his surroundings told him that he hadn't been the only one who was affected. "What kind of shitty storm was that?" Each time he gazed towards the barrier, he still couldn't see anything. instead there seemed to be a perpetual dust cloud surrounding it.
Once he was sure that the blond was fully out of the wreckage, he released the debris he was holding up. It fell to the ground with a bang, the sand and dust underneath it floating up from under it.
He took a seat as well, facing away from the man, mournfully looking at his destroyed cottage. Shifting slightly to make himself more comfortable, he brought a hand up to his face and sighed heavily into it.
"Shitty indeed," He replied with a simple shrug, the action making him wince a little. "Stupid barrier can keep out monsters but not a freak sandstorm?"
He put a hand into his pocket, pulling out his city pass. He spun it in his hands slowly, glaring at it. "Useless..."
The sand made him itch all over; his fingers dug beneath his sleeves and anywhere his nails could reach. It didn't matter that he had lived in a world of the sea, that didn't mean immunity to the shitty annoyance. Skin grew red from the irritation and he had to force himself to just forget it for now. Instead, he rolled up his pants legs to make sure that the bandages where secure and were relieved to see it wasn't any worse for wear.
"I didn't even know we had a neighbor." A strange thought had him snorting, but he kept that to himself.
The pass caught his eye though. "I've been waiting for mine, but the way things are going now, I doubt I'll get it any time soon."
When the cottage was destroyed, Chopper was also buried under the debris. He managed to get out from under it all quickly (assisted by a few form changes), and grabbed his bag before searching for Sanji.
It wasn't long before he found him, running over as fast as he could. "Are you okay?"
He blew out a relieved, smoky wisp. Good. At least Chopper hadn't gotten hurt during all that.
"Ah, I'm fine." There was no doubt in his mind, considering the way the cottage was utterly destroyed, that if they had been outside when it hit it would have been much worse. The strength of the winds alone looked powerful enough to sweep the little reindeer away. Shit, it looked strong enough to blow almost anything it wanted away.
"We'll have to look for the others." It took a moment, but once he pushed himself up there was a strange distant sound, much like growling. Another wave, perhaps? "...Let's hurry."
"Luffy?!" If there was disbelief in his voice, it was only because Sanji was certain their captain would be the hardest to locate. The last time he'd spoken with the marimo they had discussed rounding everyone up in order to find a place they could all live together; if only for convenience sake. Now here was their captain looking worse for wear.
"H-hey, what the hell happened to you?!" There was just no way the idiot would have...
"...Were you outside when this shit hit?!" He was going to kill the marimo. It had been that idiot's job to find Luffy. Really it was stupid of him to believe that letting the blind find the blind was a good idea.
After a few curt texts with both Tear and Anise, Peony had opted to head out of the large home he had found in Somni when he noticed the storm was starting to lessen. He had promised the young girl that he would try and find Ion, and considering communication was limited, it felt like his duty to go out and search for the Fon Master, if only for a short period of time everyday
( ... )
The call had Sanji twisting towards the voice. Even with pretty blond hair and obvious good looks, at least it was more obvious this was a man. Still, deep down it irked him somewhat that men around this world were so...He grimaced throughout the rest of that internal thought.
"Ah, Ah...I'm alright now." He brushed it off with a casual wave. "I just wish I know what the hell just happened. Tch, even my pockets have sand." Dust came off in a fine mist as he patted himself down. "I'm guessing your house got knocked down, too?"
Peony gave a casual shake of his head as he moved to shake out the scarf. It had begun to collect dust and was become increasingly uncomfortable to wear. For the time being, he figured, he could spare not having it on.
"It's standing, but in pretty bad shape," he explained, hand coming to rest on his hip as a sad smile spread over his visage. "Just started getting comfortable there, too, then this happens." A long sigh before he stepped over, inspecting the fallen cottage with a frown. "Are they all like this?"
He hadn't explored too much of Espoir as of yet, and part of him was reluctant to do so. How many people were trapped... killed?
Another person who didn't seem to care if they were stuck here or not. The blond merely gave a light shake to his head over that. There was no use questioning it anymore.
"If you mean destroyed; I don't know. I know my neighbor had the same shitty experience, but I haven't had a chance to scout around." There was nothing in the immediate area that showed how others fared; a frown marred his features at that. The howling in the background didn't help his thoughts either.
"That sound hasn't stopped since it happened. We should start looking around and see what we can find." It was an invitation, but at the same time if the man wanted to do things on his own Sanji wouldn't stop him either.
