Still looking a little out of it, Ion headed over to Anise's, quietly mulling over Jade's peculiarly knowing attitude of late. It wasn't difficult to surmise what exactly might prompt him to behave that way, but... as far as Ion knew, he never behaved in a way that was particularly telling--at least, not when he didn't want to.
Besides, he was a little confused about...
Oops! Nevermind; there was no time to ponder it, as the walk turned out to be a little shorter than he remembered. For some reason, he was still chronically concerned about catching people at a bad time, but nonetheless, he rang the bell and waited.
Anise ran to the door, opening it and smiling brightly at Ion. "Hi~ ♪ Was the walk over okay?"
She stepped to the side, gesturing for him to come in, before walking back to the kitchen. "Sorry it's so messy, I haven't used the kitchen for a while..."
At least this was a step up from potential questioning about shady people who might be interested in kidnapping naive children. Maybe she was starting to trust Somarium a little more.
"It was fine," he said. "Although... not as long as I remember."
Ion followed her in, quickly taking a glance around. He had, of course, never had a chance to really look at her kitchen before, and he had only seen her cook a handful of times back at home. It was somewhat untidy, but it seemed almost characteristic somehow. He has always been under the impression that she had spend more time worrying about him than about herself...
"That's alright," he said, smiling mildly. "I'm sure we'll manage. I don't have much of an idea of where to start anyway."
"Not as long...?" Anise thought for a moment. "Maybe you're getting faster or something! ♪"
She started to put most of the pots away. "Well, what do you want to make? I have all sorts of ingredients and recipes and stuff, we could bake something or fry something or... roast something... Or make, like, sandwiches! ♪"
