[There was so much around to distract her, but Marie did her best to stay still and not wander away too much. Distant sounds alerted her immediately as to look around for what could be the source of the noise, as did the breeze playing with her unmanageable hair. She was dressed in a pair of shorts and a striped t-shirt, an outfit much more fitting for a boy, but she didn't seem to mind.]

Will your friends be coming? The people on the... Phone?

[Though he glanced up every now and then to keep an eye out for anyone who may pass by, Celestial Being or otherwise, for the most part Allelujah watched Marie. The clothes...less than suited her, but they were preferable to the suddenly oversized shirt that had been their only other option.]

I'm sure some of them will.

[After losing interest in the streetlight pole, having turned around it enough, the child too seat on the steps leading to the building, propping her chin on her knees.]

Are they all as old as you are now?

[The phrasing does not escape him, and it doesn't take much thought to guess the reason behind it. There aren't that many groups of children Marie would have known.]

Most of them are, yes. They are from outside the facility, though.

[He makes his way towards Enveria Apartments, but can spot the two long before he gets there. The shock of long white hair is unmistakable, even if the person hardly comes up to Allelujah's waist. He suppresses his shocked look as best as he can, wondering what sort of state Miss Peri-- Marie?- had to be in. He remembered- quite clearly- being paranoid, defensive, and overall wary at finding himself in a strange place when the change had happened to him. It had very much been a huge overload of information, but he somehow doubted that Marie felt the same.]

Allelujah... [He comes up beside them both, and then stares down at the little girl in a grown man's clothes. Neil smiles kindly at her, trying to look past his perception of her as a woman and treat her like he would any child.] Hello, there.

[Marie's attention was soon diverted from the momentary trance which involved taking in the still scenery before him. The young man was almost as tall as Allelujah, and there was no mistaking the air of familiarity he treated her friend with.]

"Hello... You must be one of Allelujah's friends,"

[The words come with a genuine smile.]

"Thank you for being there with him."

[Ahhh, she's so cute, is what he finds himself thinking. He's fond of children in an at-arms'-length kind of way, and Marie is apparently no exception.] I'm L-- Neil. From what I hear you're a great friend of his, too.

Roland had needed some time to himself, and had taken to wandering around Somni. It was a bit risky, as he still didn't know a whole lot about the place, but the atma mark on his left hand could be a confidence booster as much as a burden. Both hands were shoved in his pockets at the moment, and he wasn't paying much attention to anyone around him until he ran across a young man and a strange little girl.

He couldn't help but stop for a moment. The man really didn't appear old enough to be the child's father. Relative, perhaps, or guardian.

"Good afternoon," he greeted with a smile for her sake.

[Marie was in the process of tripping over her hair for the sixth time that day. She recovered her balance, small hands on the streetlight pole, just in time for the stranger to come close to her.]

"It is a good afternoon, isn't it?" [she looked up, matching the smile with one of her own.]

Trying not to raise an eyebrow, Roland considered commenting to the man about getting the girl a haircut, but it really wasn't any of his business. It was rather lovely hair, in any case.

"It is. That's why I found myself wanting a walk." He glanced up at her guardian and back. "Is that what you're up to?"

Somarium's population wasn't particularly consistent, and was large enough that seeing an entirely new face was fairly common. For the most part the occupants seemed harmless; there had been the occasional uproar, and at least one notably disturbing incident, but he didn't recognise this man from any of them. It didn't stop him from staying alert.

Allelujah spoke up, as much to assert his presence as to carry on the conversation, for all that they seemed pleasant enough. "We're waiting for a friend to arrive. Marie needs new clothes."
