[still staring at the scarecrows as he talks to you] I'm looking at their auras.

Why would they have auras?

Normally they wouldn't. But these scarecrows do. They seem to be alive.

[Oh?]

[The timid butler stands quietly and stares at the boy staring at the scarecrows, not particularly sure why he is staring at them.]

[glances away from them and over at you-- and then does a slight double-take at your aura] You...

[chainsawofdeath]

Y-Yes...? [he clasps his hands tightly and looks at the ground and then back up at the boy]

[you don't have him fooled at all, although he's not revealing that] ...Who are you?

Rune was feeling a bit bored today so he decided that a nice trip to Espoir would do something to alleviate it, he hoped. Well, if he didn't run into a certain creepy guy in the process at least.

It wasn't as if he could really avoid this place forever if he wanted to get an idea of this place and find more people who also disliked it. So he just decided that if he saw a creepy guy in black, he'd go back to Somni, very fast.

His musing were interrupted by a strange sight. It wasn't common for people to stare at the scarecrows. Normally people either seemed to use them as target practice or ignore them.

Must be a newcomer. Oh well, looks like the blue haired mage was going to have to be decent and explain things to the new person, and hope he wasn't too weird either. "Do moving scarecrows fascinate you or something?"

Kayashima turned at the voice of the person approaching. Another unique aura that this person had-- there seemed to be quite a few unordinary people in this place. He filed away this observation mentally.

"They seem to be alive," he replied neutrally.

Magic-- yes, there was a definite sense of magic that he could see in the man's aura. Some sort of magician, then...

So the boy seemed fascinated with the fact that they were alive. Well, yeah, things that moved on their own did tend to be.

Rune hadn't been too fazed by the scarecrows himself, he was used to monsters, and some of those were a bit on the strange side indeed. Then there was androids, well that was another subject all together.

"Yeah, this place is a bit weird, you'll get used to things like them. So are you new here then?"

Definitely an odd aura. Looking closely, it almost seemed like there was another separate personality-- but that wasn't quite right, there was something different... And the way the aura moved implied something inhuman, although it was similar. Fascinating.

"Yes, I am. I was hoping to find someone here to ask what this place is."

Minako had been bored, so she decided to wander into Espoir, since she hadn't been there before. She laughed at herself, when she realized she'd never asked Oz where he lived, so she wouldn't be able to meet the boy unless he called her. Nevertheless, it was always good to see new places, and perhaps meet some new people, as well.

Minako noticed the boy staring at some scarecrows (which were odd to her, but she ignored them, since they didn't feel like the Enemy), and walked over to him.

"Hello," she greeted.

Kayashima tore his gaze away from the scarecrows and turned at the sound of the voice. Immediately he was struck by the girl's aura-- she had a good aura, he could tell.

"Ah, hello," he said back equally, still studying her.

Minako smiled warmly at him. "Are you new here?" This was her first time seeing the scarecrows, but his manner seemed to imply that he didn't even understand where he was.

"I am," he replied, walking forward a few steps. "I take it you're one of the residents of this place?"

[What's this? Another young person to ceaselessly annoy? Will the wonders never end?]

A shinigami...? [he's pretty sure-- what else could a spirit that looks like that be, anyway. tilts head slightly]
