Serph was seated on the edge of the fountain, right beside where Heat had decided the best place to upchuck part of his last meal was. The Embryon leader reached over and patted Heat on the back once he was finished.
The earlier clink had caught his attention though. Serph looked into the fountain, eyes scanning beneath the water for whatever it was his tribemate had expelled. For some reason, Serph looked happy.
Heat coughed up the last bits of whatever-it-was he was vomiting and breathed.
"Dammit," Heat muttered hoarsely, tossing the patch of yellow scarf aside and wiping some gross bits from the corners of his mouth. He rinsed his fists in the fountain and took a quick drink from the cleaner parts of the basin. He glanced up at Serph, narrowing his eyes at his Leader's eager examination of the fountain. With a frown, Heat dunked his hand in the water and felt around for the metal object he had just expelled.
Moments later, he came back up again with a set of dirtied keys.
Serph caught the set of keys. What purpose they served didn't entirely matter to the silver-haired man as he looked the metal keys attached to their simple keyring. Procuring this item from Heat's stomach meant a door somewhere could be opened now; perhaps to a new place they could establish as a base or perhaps simply an area his party could explore.
Serph jingled the keys a little before tucking them away. His attention turned back to Heat; eyes softening a little as he watched his comrade still trying to get the taste of bile out of his mouth.
Heat finished cleaning himself up, turning to eye the little boy as if he were a piece of marinated meat. He didn't look thrilled to be caught in such a demeaning, embarrassing position. These people might get the wrong damn impression.
Unfortunately, Heat made no distinction between children and adults. Hell, this is the first child he had ever seen before in his life. He points to the nearest dusty path.
Naota had finally managed to escape Haruko for the time being and was now wandering around Espoir hoping to find something interesting to do, because really, this place was boring. So now he's walking by the fountain, and notices a familiar pair...one of whom is vomiting.
He only watches for a moment before turning and attempting to leave before they notice him.
Heat was still bent over the fountain, struggling to keep his latest meal down. Though his unusual retching was littered with strange objects like house keys and yellow scarves, the contents of his stomach were also a telltale, pungent red/black color of partially digested blood.
And yet, during one of the lulls, Heat could have sworn he heard footsteps.
He snapped his head up, wiping the corners of his mouth with a scowl of disgust and fixed his gaze on Naota.
"Come back for more?" he challenged despite his predicament, his stomach rumbling in anticipation. He needed to replace his lost stomach contents somehow...
Naota froze mid-step and grimaced before turning to the redheaded jerk. He had been here for about two weeks and was already being recognized by psychos with guns.
"If you didn't notice I spent most of that fight hiding under a bush."
"I hate it when they run," Heat grumbled, scratching the back of his head in irritation. He was getting restless; there weren't nearly enough fights to satisfy him around here. It was boring as hell.
"Fight me or keep your damn girlfriend from challenging me."
It didn't take long for Cielo to get to the fontain Serph had mentioned, not at all. But then again, he had Dyaus aid and merely needed to transform and fly above the town. Which he did easily, after this much time, aerial maneuvers held no secrets for him. He landed just next to Heat and Serph, smiled at both Embryon and nodded towards their Leader before shifting back to his human form.
"Guys!" and promptly ran to them. "It's nice t'see you two!"
Serph watched his comrade land and revert to his human form. It felt good to see another member of his tribe; for a while, he was convinced it was just going to be himself and Heat. He rose up from where he was seated on the edge of the fountain and approached Cielo.
Cielo glanced at Heat, who seemed to be quite in pain still, and stepped closer to both him and Serph. It was good to finally meet with his comrades again! Now he just needed to find Gale and Argilla and Embryon would be complete again!
"D'you know where Gale is? He's supposed to be 'ere too, ja?"
"He'll be here," said Heat, still hunched over the fountain. He was taking liberal sips from its waters. Damn, he hated it when this happened, even if it usually produced some interesting items he'd failed to shake out of his victims before devouring. He turned and cast Cielo a sidelong, skeptical look.
"Think you're strong enough to carry all of us?" he hmphed. "If you can't, take me and leave Gale."
No way in Hell he was staying behind, even with his stomachache.
Danny doesn't have very good luck in being in the right place at the right time, it seems. On his way to the Church after a long day of being somewhere else, he finds himself passing through the Central Square. The sounds someone of retching nearby draw his attention to the fountain, and he pauses to grimace sympathetically in their direction.
Then he notices Serph's silver hair and distinctive outfit. He recognizes Heat's cape-thing, and glimpses red hair bent over the fountain. The faint clink of metal landing in the water registers, but he doesn't pay attention to it just now.
"Oh crap..." He mutters, turning his head away from them while they talk and resuming his stride. This time he is, of course, going considerably faster than before.
Oddly enough, while paying attention to their leader and angry comrade regain his strength at the fountain, Cielo noticed someone else trying to slip by them. And being as curious as he is, he couldn't just let it go unattended. He half runs, half pads quickly towards the... well, whoever he was and waves in acknowledgment, smiling brightly.
"'ey man!" He's exuberant as always, with the bright blue braids and the relaxed stance. "You okay?"
Danny stiffens at the call, turning quickly around and pasting a smile on his face. Hold on, that doesn't sound exactly agressive--in fact, Cielo doesn't look very menacing, either. His distinctive hair-style looks a little familiar, too (have they met before?), but the boy's a little distracted, so he doesn't pay it much attention.
Shooting a cautious glance in the men by the fountain's direction, Danny grins and nods. "Yeah, uh, I'm fine."
That doesn't sound very convincing and if anything, Cielo can definitely tell when someone's calling off on something. Besides, it's not like he doesn't notice the nervous way you just glanced at Serph and Heat, and he's confused about it, because as far as he knows, they're pretty nice guys, right?
"Really? My name's Cielo!" Smile widens and he steps even closer to you. Maybe it'd do good to notice how similar his garments are to the other two Embryon. With the familiar splash of orange across his stomach.
