If anyone's watching closely, though, they might spot a dimly glowing ghost-boy wandering rather aimlessly around Somni. He's keeping mostly to the ( Read more... )

*Is actually looking weirdly solid for a ghost.*

But you weren't there just a second ago... *Fidgets, looking very uncomfortable at all the staring.*

Kohane was walking around Somni, since it wasn't as if she had anything better to do. She didn't mind though--having so much free time was refreshing. She was good at keeping herself entertained, anyway, especially with all the supernaturality in this world.

She happened to come across Danny on her stroll, and blinked.

"You're not one of the normal spirits here."

Danny whirls towards her, startled from his (bored) suffering. He should pay more attention--after all, Somni doesn't look nearly as likely to be crammed with nice and happy people as Espoir usually does.

"Y-yeah. I mean no. Uh, what's the question?"

Kohane was an eleven-year-old girl, Danny. Maybe not the most normal one ever, but still fairly harmless. Physically, at least.

"I didn't ask a question," she answered. If it sounded rude, it was unintentional. She was, after all, just being honest. Looking over him once, she continued. "You're not an ordinary spirit in general either."

Respecting other people's privacy? What was that?

"Oh." Yeah, she does look kind of harmless.

Crap, oh crap-- "What are you talking about? I'm just a ghost. Oh, will you look at the time!" He's checking an imaginary watch. "I'm late for something really important, so..."

Haku stood on top of one of the roofs in Somni.

He was mulling over his training. Considering how easily he'd gotten up here, his wall-walking technique was as sharp as ever. That was good. His chakra was getting better...

He had to go back to the pond soon. Practicing Makyo Hyou Shou was paramount. His new technique would depend heavily on it, and he had to make himself stronger...

He'd have kept mulling over this, but something that looked like Danny, but albino, flew through the air past him. As he passed by, their eyes met for a moment.

....Was there anything in this world that wasn't completely foreign to him?!

The ghost-boy looks startled for a split second, before he forces himself to recover and look blandly curious. His speed has faltered, and on impulse he slows, as though to make the falter look like it was done on purpose. Except that now he's letting himself slow down to meet one of his human friends in ghost form, which he's avoided so far.

Oh well--Haku doesn't know him too well, so he might be able to get away from this with his secret intact, right?

Not quite stopping, Danny lifts a hand in greeting, knowing his voice would probably only solidify the similarities between ghost-him and human-him.

Haku was amazed...and confused. Well, it shouldn't. After all, it seemed like everybody in this place had some abnormal thing about them that made them different. But...what on earth was this?

He lifted a hand in greeting as well. Then, he arched an eyebrow at his close acquaintance. "Danny...what is this?"

He's not wondering how the heck these things happen to him. Not. "Sorry, what?" Because different colored hair, different eyes, all glowy and floaty--this of course means he's totally not Danny!
