Clovis was just passing by the fountain, looking dismissively through each of the store windows, in search of an art shop. So far, his search had been fruitless, and he sighed as he stood near the fountain in a bit of a bad mood. He looked at the fountain and was at least impressed, that even if the village was entirely useless, it still had some amount of good taste. He then noticed the strange creature leaning against it. His arrogant attitude reminded him of somebody, but he just couldn't put his finger on it.

"Are you waiting for someone, or are you just trying to fall asleep on the fountain?" Clovis remarked.

[I wonder which one can be more arrogant: Clovis or Vyers? LET'S SEE.]

[Oh it's on.]

Vyers glanced up at the sound of a cultured voice addressing him. He took in the well dressed blonde man standing before him and had to admit to being slightly impressed. While the man certainly had some way to go before he would be as magnificent as Vyers himself, he was obviously trying his best, and that was worthy of some acknowledgement.

"Neither, as it happens. This fountain was just the most attractive feature in this village, and as such was the only possible place for one such as moi to rest upon."

Clovis, at first, thought Vyers was being sarcastic with him, but he realized the demon really believed what he was saying. In fact, Vyers could've passed off for any noble in the Britannian family with his flair. Clovis did have to admit that the addition of French was tacky, though.

"There is a more elegant fountain out in the city that greatly surpasses the workmanship of this one." There was a slight twitch of a smile on his face.

"Second-rate, are we?"

"Second-rate?!" Vyers stared for a moment, then burst out laughing. "Forgive me, I must laugh. I have no doubt that superior fountains exist, but one must make do with what one can find. This fountain may be an inferior one, but my presence upon it raises its status immensely."

He rose from his resting posture and strolled closer to the other man. This individual seemed to have some eye for what mattered, though perhaps some further training would serve him well. "Perhaps it is your judgement of such things that is second-rate?"

Why did she always see a newcomer on the way back from training in the park? It was becoming an every day occurrence by this point. Like saving kittens or puppies from the wilderness. Cornelia almost continued on, considering that it looked like there were a few people who had talked to him and some that still were.

But, as she walked by, her head lifted to study him briefly. "Another person with pointy ears, huh? I take it you just arrived?"

Vyers straightened, regarding the woman addressing him with an appraising gaze. She was quite impressive - clearly of noble descent, her bearing alone dictated that much - not to mention her hair was of quite a stunning shade. He almost wished he had a mirror to be certain that his own flowing locks were the superior.

"I am indeed only newly arrived, though if this place is inhabited by such visions as yourself, I shall be very happy here." Vyers gave her his most devastating smile. "My ears are a curiousity to you?"

Her brow rose at his tone. Though, Cornelia wasn't very acquainted with men who spoke to her so frankly, she had finally gotten over not being regarded as simply 'Your Highness' since arriving in Somarium. She stared at him for a moment, studying his features as she tried to figure out just how serious he really was. His manner of speaking was abundant with flattery, something that she didn't know how to take. Considering that she had spent most of her life rejecting all levels of feminism, words of praise having to do with her gender didn't exactly settle well with her conscience.

Her lips tightened slightly out of instinct. "Are you... are you making fun of me?"

He blinked, surprised at the defensiveness of her reaction and wondering what could have caused it. He'd been most charming, had he not? Perhaps she suffered doubts that someone of Vyers' grace and beauty would address her in such a way. Well, such things were easily settled.

"I assure you, mademoiselle, my words were not intended in jest. I simply strove to convey my appreciation at seeing such nobility in this unfamiliar place." He gave a courtly bow. "You have my apologies for any offence I may have caused."

There! Such understanding, the mark of a true demon noble.

Quote stares at the purple haired stranger. Curiously enough, it's not only an inquisitive stare, but it almost seems the the robot is expecting something out of the one he's staring at.

Some would consider it rude, but it was considerable manners for Quote. Whoever would want a screech of a voice to ask about their well-being?

The creature regarding him was clearly not a demon, or a human...in fact, it was nothing Vyers recognised at all. How very strange. Still, it was staring at him, clearly possessing the intelligence to realise that a sight such as the one he presented was worth taking in for as long as possible.

"Is there something I can do for you?" Hopefully it understood, whatever it was.

What should be a 'huh' of response comes out as a low buzz from the robot's chest.

And it just occurs to him that those words aren't a plea of help, but a question.

Quote isn't very good at answering them. Unless in monotones, of course.

"No."
Bzz.

"Ah...very well, then." A slight frown marked the demon lord's forehead as he considered the being before him. While he could easily understand being stared at simply for the sake of it, he was somewhat disconcerted. What did it want? As rude as it seemed, it would appear the only way to find out would be to ask.

"What brings you this way, then?"
