And since the White Day Event had left her with a rather embarrassing gift, namely, Schwann as her butler, she was currently residing at the tavern... but only for the week. Her discomfort at living with a man, a man that she was currently dating, had not alleviated since he had convinced her to pack a bag and bring some of her personal belongings to his place
( ... )
The scientist was almost surprised to find her so suddenly- right as she was exiting the tavern, at that. A bit of good luck to outweigh the bad (if he had been just fifteen minutes later, finding her really would have been a hassle - he hadn't spent that much timg exploring Espoir, because of the weather at the time, so he really didn't know the layout as well as he would've liked), but he had to wonder if it was really all that good. He was good at disguising the truth from himself, good at being ignorant to it - Facing it head on was an entirely different matter.
He followed her inside, a frown written across his features, an annoyed huff leaving him. He really didn't care about her morning exercises. When she moved behind the bar, he merely crossed his arms. He didn't care he didn't care he didn't care- He was here for one thing and one thing only, and really, he wanted for this to be over as quickly as possible. "It doesn't matter."
His frowned deepened and he decided that he might as well sit, crossing his legs. He didn't touch his drink, though - just met her stare, silent until she spoke, nearly cutting her off.
"--What happens to my devicer?"
He wasn't about to beat around the bush on this subject. He just wanted to know.
With only a single brown bag of groceries in hand, Naomi walked slowly back along the path to her cottage. There was a relaxed expression on her face, her smile looking far more serene than normal. She was glad to be out and about by herself for once. Perhaps taking in three men from the auction was a bad idea. Especially taking in Raiden. She should have foreseen the problems he would have with Vamp. Not even escaping to her lab could keep the migraines from coming.
And that was why she was out alone for once, taking her sweet time in returning home.
