"You just got here, huh?" Kitchel asked with a friendly wave as she introduced herself and dropped down to sit beside him. "I'm Kitchel. And this place is really more of a weird dream than hell."
He had seen enough of the dazed and confused look whenever someone appeared in Somarium to recognize a newcomer immediately. There was that and Kaname made an effort to learn everyone in the Dreamberry so that he could keep an eye on the residents of the Dream World.
Suspicious as he was, he hadn't encountered anyone that could pose as a threat. There were those with malicious intent, but in comparison, their powers were inconsequential. Stepping up to the confused man sitting at the fountain, his lips bent into what could be construed as a smile and he spoke in a hollow tone of voice that just barely could be heard above the running water of the fountain.
"Excuse me, Sir. But, are you new to this world?"
The man wouldn't know what that meant. But, it usually got the ball rolling.
The politeness was returned as Kaname took a couple of steps closer. "This is Somarium. A Dream World. Most likely you have entered it through an unconscious state of rest, such as a dream."
"I see." Hakkai nodded at him. "That does make things clearer." And indeed it did; Hakkai wasn't stranger to the concept of alternate dimensions by now.
But there was another question that needed answering. "May I ask how one leaves this world, if you know? I need to rejoin my companions."
"It's kinda like a phone," Omi said. He said 'kinda', since he wasn't completely sure himself what all it could do. "We have stuff like this where I come from, but it's not exactly the same."
"A phone..." Hakkai, knowing nothing of this means of communication, still looked just as confused as before. "I don't know what that is, I'm afraid. What does it do?"
