"Oh?" Ryoji replied as he followed the woman towards his new home for the week. The boy couldn't help but grin at the situation. Here he was with a cute girl and not only was he playing servant for her, but he was living with her too. Junpei would be so jealous.

"What other sort of things have happened here? Well, I was a high school student at Gekkoukan High before I arrived here."

"A high school student, huh? I thought you looked kind of young still. How old are you, anyway? Umm..." Kitchel paused, putting her index finger to her mouth as she thought and paused in her rapid speech. "Well, there are the ghosts. And there were all these monsters that showed up a couple times. And, oh, the desert is really cool! I want to go back out there again sometime."

"I'm sixteen! In eleventh grade!" His smile drooped a little. "Monsters? What kind of monsters?"

"All sorts of monsters," Kitchel watched Ryoji's smile falter. "It's not that bad, really. They go away after a while. Besides, it makes things more exciting. You'll get used to them after a while, but I take it there aren't any monsters where you're from?"
