Raven had been deep in his own thoughts and was about to take another drink when he heard Jade's voice. He didn't move but raised the hand with the bottle slightly as greeting.

"Yeah, I did," he simply said, still looking out over the railing. He couldn't see the city, they were now so far out.

Jade wondered vaguely if getting drunk on a mysterious ghost ship would count toward Asch's idea of "doing something stupid". On the other hand, if the two of them were as close as they seemed to be, the man was probably justified at this point.

"He told me that he was worried you might do something rash. Actually asked me to keep an eye on you, which I wasn't expecting." He leaned against the railing next to Raven, turned towards him. "Apparently the two of you are closer than I had thought."

He hadn't drunk that much. It was only the first bottle and it was still half full. He just needed something after everything. That was all.

At Jade's words, he turned slightly to look at the man. "He did?" he asked with a brow raised before chuckling slightly. "So I got a babysitter now, huh? That kid..."

He then looked back out to the passing scenery. "You could say we're close."

"Oh, I have no intention of babysitting a grown man." Unless it was Emperor Peony, but that was another story entirely. "I just thought I would mention it."

Jade turned his head briefly to look at this scenery Raven found so enthralling. More sand. He turned back to Raven with a slight smile. "Quite close, it seems. I think he might have remembered you even better than me."
