Sorata prefers to be happy. There are certainly times where he isn't; when he's tired or upset or even frustrated. But he doesn't like to be, so he does his best to smile and brush it off. The same goes for acting overly serious. It's dull, and stressful. It's better to just take it easy. Even with the Dragons of Earth… of course he'd fight them if need be, if they hurt others, if they tried to destroy things. But he doesn't think that's a reason to hate them just for existing: they were born into it just like he was. That pimp guy was even pretty charming.

He's only really seen this guy once or twice in passing, but he's heard more than enough, knows more than enough, to be less willing to extend the same courtesy.

Besides. There's another problem. He's dead. Kamui, Arashi, and of course Subaru-san all saw it. All reported it. He shouldn't be here. Is he a ghost? It's possible. Sorata doesn't have as much of a sense for those things as some people. But he still doesn't seem like a phantom ( ... )

He clenches his fist at the mention of who he assumes to be Arashi. "Don't talk to her."

"Why?" He asks, noting that fist. "Shouldn't she be the one to make that decision, rather than you?"

"She'll tell you the same thing." If it was pointed out to him, he'd try not to be so physically tense-but it hasn't occurred to him that he's being overly readable. Even so, he does understand it would probably be best to not say anything too much… late as it is.

"I don't doubt that she would," he agrees. "But as strong-willed as she seems, I doubt she would appreciate over-protectiveness on your part, Arisugawa-kun." Yes, Sorata, Seishirou is giving you relationship advice.

Well, actually, he's just stating the obvious, but it sure sounds like relationship advice.

That was certainly true and he knew it. It didn't mean he was going to stop. "I'm just lookin' out for my teammates," he says with another forced smile. By using a more general term, he hopes Sakurazuka will get the point: Arashi's the most important, but he'd do it for any and all of the Seals.

"Ahh, I see." Actually, he doesn't see. He has no such camaraderie with his fellow Dragons of Earth. But he can understand the way of thinking behind such a sentiment, at least. "In any case, I've managed to go an entire day without hurting even one innocent person. I am fairly certain I can go at least one more before you will have to start worrying." With his constant smile, it's actually fairly difficult to tell if he's joking or being serious.

Sorata, at least, takes it as completely serious. "I gotta hope it's a lot more'n one day." he raises his hand and rubs at his hair, a nervous gesture. "I don't like ta say it, but there're three of us here, an' only one of you." His first serious attempt at a threat… falls pretty flat. His tone is halting.

Seishirou nods. "That is true. If I were planning to make trouble, those odds would be rather intimidating!" He laughs, as if it really is a joke. Well, to him it is. It's funny, how most people simply assume that others care a great deal about their own lives. That's the joke. He doesn't, and the rest of the world has no idea. That's his advantage.

He nods in agreement, hoping that Sakurazuka does understand. He's normally very good at reading people, but he needs to know them a little bit first. This guy is a blank slate, and one who really isn't making guessing easy. "So don't do it!" In trying to sound stern, he just sounds hopeful.

AND THEN THEY MADE OUT--wait that doesn't work here I mean Sei wouldn't mind but Sorata might a bit treefeeding January 10 2012, 07:38:55 UTC
At last, Seishirou shifts, standing up to his full height--which happens to be a good half a head taller than Sorata. "You've convinced me, Arisugawa-kun." He declares. "I will presently be giving up my destructive way of life, and putting myself to better use. Perhaps by opening a veterinary clinic." Oddly specific? You bet.

He doesn't buy it. He wants to, but he doesn't. But upon consideration, there's not much the guy could do to prove himself, even if Sorata did think he was being sincere. So he'll have to take it. "I hope you don't mind, but I'll be keepin' an eye out," he says, wondering retrospectively if apologizing is really the right tone to take here.

Of course, he'd assumed that Sorata is smart enough not to take his words at face value. So, smiling, he agrees, "Feel free to do so. Even if you do not trust me to keep my word, at least you might trust that I am smart enough not to do anything when the odds are, as you pointed out, not in my favor." His hands slide into his coat pockets. "Still, this has been a very enlightening conversation, Arisugawa-kun. Thank you."

But with a guy like Sakurazuka, he isn't sure it's about being smart enough as much as being confident enough. Either way there's not much more to be said. He nods tersely. "I hope I don't haveta see you again."

"We can mutually agree to stay clear of one another then, if it can be helped." It's mildly amusing, how Sorata thinks he has to take personal responsibility for Seishirou. If he grows bored enough in the future, that's always something he can take advantage of.

That sounds… pretty okay to Sorata, actually. He's not sure if he can do that, of course, since he'll worry about the other's doings… but then again, if Sakurazuka starts hurting people, or causing disasters, he's pretty sure he'll notice. He nods tersely. "An' the others too."
