"Taking the safety of Somarium into your own hands?"
It had been awhile since D had actually been in the presence of Serenity, but at this moment, it had merely been a matter of being in the same place at the same time. Now he remembered why he stayed away; she had the kind of blood that could easily undo a vampire. Or a man in general.
D was standing against a building, blending in well into the shadows with his dark sable hair and dark attire. But, it was different than it had been before he left Somarium. Another few hundred years had passed. He had bothered to take care of himself a bit more while gone. His hair wasn't always a waved mess of beads and ribbons from ladies fair. The cape that was tossed around his shoulders to combat the cold was a dark grey with careful multicolored stitching around the edges, filled with hearts, moons, and stars, and names from those long since passed. At the moment, his lavender eyes were watching Serenity from his spot.
What was she doing out here, other than possibly patrolling?
She turned quickly, white wings fluttering and feathers falling only to disappear just before the pure white feathers touched the ground. As soon as she saw D she gave a gentle smile. Once more they stood in stark contrast to one another. D was all in black, she in white. At his question she chuckled and gently rested against her staff.
"Hello D," her voice was soft as it was carried on the wind but she knew he would hear her. "I finally get to see you despite how long you've been back." The 'naughty boy' was implied but not said. Where as D wore a cloak for warmth, Serenity was only in her fuku.
D... didn't think he'd ever seen her in something so... revealing, but, for the so called "action girls" on the Frontier (technically all of them, considering what lurked on land), it wasn't anything he hadn't seen before. Well... minus the unique design. It was almost like... a uniform.
"A lot has happened since my arrival." He pushed off from the wall, walking over towards the beautiful women, pausing a few feet away from her. She was so small. The Hunter looked out towards Somarium and its winter glory. "...Forgive me."
As he approached her, asking for forgiveness she smiled gently and reached up to caress his cheek. She would always forgive. It was her greatest flaw and her greatest strength. Her hand was warm against his, clearly it didn't matter that she was in such a revealing outfit, the cold did not affect her. Although, it was not so long ago he had found her just lying in th snow in hr gown. Serenity was not surprised that D recognized her even through the slight magic surrounding her.
"Of course I forgive you, D. I'm just happy I can finally see you again. My, you look as if you've gotten taller."
[Lambda also does security patrols, though mostly in the block or two surrounding her laboratory. When this strange girl drops down out of nowhere, she trundles over to investigate, keeping a safe distance.]
