It wasn't so much the sight of a girl wandering around aimlessly that had gotten Oz's attention so much as the fact that she looked like she was dressed like a noble from his time and couldn't be older than ten.
He really couldn't let that slide, a frown forming on his brow for a brief moment before he plastered on a smile and skipped up to her. She was beyond cute and it took everything to keep composure and not lose his cool as he did have to try and be the responsible adult here, after all. "Hello~! You're new here, right?"
Yep. Totally the smoothest thing to say right off the bat.
Marry backed away from the strange boy when he just walked up to her like that, raising an eyebrow. She looked him up and down, deciding that he wasn't really a threat. "Maybe. Who are you?" You couldn't bee too cautious though. "Do you know the Hargreaves name?"
It should be expected as he wasn't exactly the smoothest with greeting newcomers; especially ones who were as cute as she was. Oz couldn't really blame her for that reaction but didn't let it phase him in the least.
"Lord Oz Vessalius at your service~! Though you can just call me Oz~" He piped up happily, giving a small, polite bow. He'd grown up in a noble society and knew how to greet others for the most part.
"As for the name, though. I can't say I know of it, actually.."
"you're really cheerful and young for a Lord, Oz." Blunt was her way. But she really should be nice. If a lord didn't know brother... She gives him a bow. "I am Mary Weather Hargreaves."
Sealand was walking around Espoir, taking a break from his mischief planning, when he saw a little girl he had never seen before dressed in a really fancy looking dress and holding a teddy bear.
"Hello there! Are you lost or something?" he asked as he walked over to her.
"Lord Hargreaves? I've never heard of someone named Lord Hargreaves. But if he is here, I can help you find him!" he said, proudly pointing his thumb to his chest.
She laughs a little. Boy were so odd sometimes, but he was willing to help. She had a small curtsy. She had to do these proper things every time she talked to someone right now, or she didn't do them at all. "Thank you. I am Mary Weather."
Seiji trudged around Espoir more to think than to shop, eat out, or join in any other activities being held. He woke up annoyed and lonely after a sleep coma back in Somarium -- or Hypnosia, whatever this world's name ended up being. People disappeared from this place without word all the time. In retrospect, he hoped he would've woken up back in Ikebukuro. No such luck.
With his hands stuffed in his pockets, he dragged his feet down the walkway. Frills and curls flickered at the corner of his eye. He didn't stop until taking four steps. Well, people didn't dress like that everyday, did they? The teenager turned back around. A little girl fretted about, looking every which direction and bumbling down the street. "You're not home anymore," he called out to her, "but you probably know that already."
Mary turned to the voice, and noticed it was pointed at her. How was everyone able to tell she was lost? She sighed and put her hands on her hips, trying not to looked worried. "Where am i then?"
"This here?" Seiji shrugged his shoulders and rolled his eyes, a gesture to indicate all that they were seeing. "It's some kind of dream world. We're some kind of dream clones, and our 'real' selves are dreaming this." He shook his head and grunted. "It's confusing to me too."
Jubei certainly did not know his fashion, but what he did know was the directionless sort of wandering that marked someone who had no idea where they were going. Maybe she was looking for someone? It didn't seem right to leave a kid that young wandering around all on her lonesome. He approaches her as she stops nearby.
Mary was just about to say something when she looked at who was talking... it... was... a talking cat!? "AHH!" she fell backwards with a fright. "y-you're talking!!"
He can't help but chuckle a little. He knew beastmen were pretty rare, but that was all a bit much, wasn't it? He holds out a paw to help her get back on her feet.
Mary looks at the paw. Instead of taking it, she pets the fur. It was really talking, and it was really a ... cat. A rather tall one too. Was he near her size? Mary was okay with being on the floor right now as she looked at him closer. "Question?"
first... 'cause I'm a lazy person .__.meanttobemamaOctober 18 2011, 03:46:13 UTC
[ Seeing people dressed in strange clothing is no longer a surprise to Ray. Then again, she's pretty sure that many people here thought she wore strange clothes. ]
[ Even still, the expression on the little girl's face wasn't one that Ray could ignore. ]
