[He spots the man, and the military uniform pings him. It's not one he recognizes, though. But he's almost comforted by that fact. Not Nazi, not HYDRA. Maybe this was someone he could trust. Still, he's a little on edge. Just to be safe.]
I sure feel alive. [Pauses, turning his gaze away from the male to look around the area again.] This isn't Heaven, is it? [It didn't seem like a bad place, but it wasn't exactly how he imagined Heaven would be.]
Heaven? I've never heard of that place before, but no. You're in Somarium, a major city of the world Hypnosia. It's not unknown for people who have died to be transported here.
[Tony is en route to the tavern in Espoir; might as well try it after trying the bars in the city and he could honestly use the drink after explaining the dreamberry and everything else that happened. Honestly, waking up in a village or a field is ridiculous - waking up in the city was better, he knew where he was going and he was able to get some help and some info.
But then he hears something, pauses and turns and oh great another man kind of looking aimless in...
Wait what is this guy wearing? There's no freaking way right?
Right?]
Hey there! [He holds up a hand and heads over, equal parts cautious and curious about who this guy might be.] New arrival?
[Steve turned to face the voice that called out to him, a bit taken aback at who he saw.]
Howard? [No, no. Upon looking closer, he could tell it wasn't Howard, but there was something about him that seemed to favor his friend. Huh.
Well, who ever this guy was, he seemed harmless enough, yet he stayed on guard. Just in case. Maybe this guy could give him some answers as to what hell was going on.]
I guess you could say that. Any idea where we are?
[It was stupid to try and deny that Tony looked a lot like his old man but that didn't mean he had to like it nor had he ever been mistaken for him considering he'd been dead for years no. Still, he forced the smile to remain in place as he held out his hand.]
Not Howard no, I'm the improvement if you will - he was my father. As for this place and please, just hear me out, I know I thought it was insane when I first found out but this is Somarium. It's a dream world that we all just sort of...woke up in.
You're....Howard's...son? [He just kind of stared, trying to really take that in. Howard's son. Howard's son. It hardly computed, especially since the man standing before him looked older than Howard was.
And then Tony brought up Somarium, and it being a dream world. That was just a little much.]
[Whooa, short person just came how of nowhere. Steve blinked, then rubbed the back of his head with his free hand. He's still really confused, but a sign of life was great. And the girl sure didn't look dangerous. Maybe she could help him figure out what was going on.]
Good to know. And...yeah, I am. [It took more than just a huge plane crash to take out Captain America, after all.]
[He could use a guide. He's so lost right now. He had been so sure there were no people where he crashed the plane, or even vegetation for that matter.]
[Steve had been watching from his perch on a tree as the man groggily got back on his feet. But it wasn't the man Steve was interested in. Having lived with a thief for a few weeks, the monkey had been captivated by the shiny looking shield that rested not too far from the man. It may have seemed too big for the animal but he could still get a closer look right?
Quickly scurrying down the tree, he makes his way towards the shield. Unfortunately, the man had picked it up a few seconds before Steve finally reaches it. Instead, he diverts his attention to the helmet that lay not too far off.
Steve makes a few smacking noises before holding the helmet up and placing it on his head.]
[As Steve spotted the monkey, he took a step back, a little surprised to see the creature. What was a random monkey doing running around here? He watched curiously as it went after his helmet, fighting back a grin as he watched it put the helmet on it's head.
And then it talked. And not only that, it said his name. That surprised him greatly. Since when could monkeys talk? He was curious, though, and crouched near it, slightly holding his hand towards it.]
[Steve looks up to the man, yellow eyes blinking rapidly in equal curiosity. Because wow, this guy was dressed pretty funny. And this helmet thing looked fun to wear, reminding him of the things he's seen on TV whenever Flint left them on during Saturday mornings.]
Yeah, helmet. It looks good on you. [He feels kind of weird, talking to a monkey. This wasn't normal, then again, what had been normal for him ever? And he's also really curious...]
