[ Stopping to stare at you for a moment. Somehow, you didn't strike her as the 'tea' type... ]

Yes! We have plenty of tea.

[ A moment later, she's back with a teapot and a cup. ]

[ She disappears into the kitchen again, pondering what to make. Meat and edible, was it...? Meat pies are pretty popular, aren't they? ]

but he'll just be drinking that tea like it was coffee, waiting. maybe pulling out a small tattered notebook and flipping through it.]

[ Back in the kitchen, Ray is preparing the meat pie. This one's mostly ground beef and sausage, but she's snuck in some chopped up peppers, mushrooms, spinach, and shredded mozzarella cheese, because they're good for you. ]

[ Thanks to the fact that most of her dishes were prepared ahead of time, it only takes a short while before this is ready, and she's carrying it out for you to try ]

[glancing up when he sees her coming and puts away the notebook for later.]

It's a meat pie. Are these not common in your world?

Heard of 'em, but don't think I've ever had one.

[ That's the first time she's heard it described like that... and Ray can't help but admit that that's kind of how it's done... except the way Cid describes it... makes it sound not so appetizing. ]

It's similar to making any other pie. Only, instead of fruits, you fill it with meat and a special tomato sauce.
