She turns to look at him, no smile but instead a curious look on her face.]
Careful, yes I have to be careful now. That's a new feeling. Never had to be careful before. Who are you? [Her words are rushed and with an accent.]

New but so very old. Legs are new body is new-ish too. Where are we? [Now she tips her head back to look up at the stars as if she'll be able to figure it out. She knows all the names of the stars in the universe, which ones are capable of supporting life of some sort - everything about them. But these ones are foreign to her, not a single pattern is familiar and that causes her to frown before looking back at her companion.]
We aren't in the universe I know.

however, this particular soul caught his attention almost immediately. it was, in a very simple and understating way, strange. he had encountered numerous unfamiliar and strange types of souls, but this one unsettled him. it was possibly worse than the madness back home.
so needless to say, he quickly set off to find the source of this wavelength, and was quite surprised to find the woman...walking? in the park. she seemed relatively harmless, but his senses screamed otherwise. not dangerous but not...]
Who...
[taking a closer look had been a big mistake. the size of her soul was huge-not as large as his father's, but larger than most. it was staggering-in fact it made him stagger a step as a hand flew to his head as if he were suffering a bad headache. in a way he was, and it was all he could do to "de-focus" so that he only felt the wavelength rather than "see" it completely.

But when he took a step back that's when she knew. Most people wouldn't dare to look into her soul as the power of time and space was too much for anyone to handle - even a Time Lord. She ran her hands over her dress as if to catch the boy's attention away from staring at her soul.]
Really, you shouldn't look at it so closely. It can drive a person mad - among other things.
[Honestly she was curious how he could see her soul while she was tucked away inside this body. Now she's checking herself to see if little gold-ish wisps are escaping her. She can't possibly be breaking through the casing of her human host body.]

I'm a TARDIS - Time and Relative Dimension in Space. I exist across time and space - though it seems to have become less since I arrived. Still, best if you don't look too much.

Is walking really so difficult?
Reply
Not particularly, got used to it very quickly. Just had a bit of a bumpy ride before I arrived here is all.

[bluntly:]
So that's not your real body?

It's not, though I suppose it's mine now as the woman who had it before is gone now. Her name was Idris.

Well, that's a bit strange. [He's inspecting the rumble around, not yet spotting the woman that he will soon to realize he knows. Because while he can remember every single face of those he has met, this is a face different from the one he's use to.]

Look at you! The ears, the jacket, the sonic, the banana. [There has to be a banana in his pocket - he loves a good banana.]

[Always good to have a supply of banana, they're good for you.] And even stranger, do I know you? Because you definitely know me.

[Smiling at him coyly now.] I do know you. [Despite however many companions have said that to him her four words seem to carry quite a bit of weight to them.] And you do know me - will know me - have always known me.
