[Contrary to what Ashe thought, Basch was not shirking in his duties. He had been out exploring the expanse of land that their new residence sat on. He wanted to get the feel of the land... and to perhaps take in his surroundings to make sure they were not caught off guard at all.

Basch had just stepped through the door when he heard Ashe call out. Briefly, he had debated not saying a word and just stepping back out. It was tempting.

Sadly, Basch was one to normally follow orders, so he sighed, closing the door behind him and headed to where the irate royal was.]

[ It was probably the fact she wasn't used to being somewhere other than Ivalice and was being kept their against her will that made her so irritable.

[Balthier, however, had been shirking, or at least it would have seemed so to their most outspoken housemate. It took him a few minutes to respond to Ashe's call, and by the time he made his way down from the house's uppermost level, he was noticeably quite covered in dust.]
