Effects: While dreaming, characters may have this odd sense that they’re being watched even though nobody is there. It can be a foreboding feeling or just a slight uneasiness, whatever one wishes it to be.

Notes: This is posted a day early, so remember! The following won't start until Saturday. Also, we have the HMD Meme up!

  • This week, dreamers may notice a little something…different. Along with the usual sort of dreams, they may suddenly find themselves dreaming about something a little different - another character’s canon. But that's not all. Characters will also experience a costume change as a result of these dreams .
    • What does this mean? It means that any character can dream that they are a part of any other canon, so long as there is at least one character from said canon already in Somarium currently. The same goes for clothing changes.

    • How does this work? Okay. So this is how this will work.
      • Different Canons. As mentioned above, characters can suddenly dream about someone else’s canon, provided that there’s at least one character currently in said canon actively in Somarium. The level of involvement can be up to the player. The character could be ‘new’ to the canon or they could seem to always have been in the canon that they’re dreaming about. They could even dream that they are the character, or another character that exists in the canon. These other characters do not have to exist in Somarium. It also doesn't matter if the character is knowledgeable of the canon or even if they've met that other character. Players have complete freedom here.

For example: Tamaki can dream that he’s in Amestris from Fullmetal Alchemist. He can be new to the town or seem like he’s been there forever, but one way or another he's dreaming of it. He has no prior knowledge of the setting, but he's still dreaming it anyway. He will be completely dressed to fit the setting, either dressed as a random bystander or even as one of the pre-existing characters. So Tamaki could be dreaming as himself, as Edward, or as Roy Mustang.
So in other words, characters can dream of any canon currently in Somarium and be any character of that canon in the dream.
        • Interactive Dreaming. Characters are allowed to interact with dreams. As with all other events and dream interaction, this is up to the player as to whether or not they wish to allow another to interact with their dreams. Keep in mind the limits, however, when using interactive dreaming - it’s not the whole world but only a set location.
      • New Costumes. There are three ways for characters to find themselves in a completely different set of clothing. In all cases, the costume will remain until the character views another dream or until the end of Halloween. Note: The costume change will only occur if the character comments to the dream. If someone is just browsing through and viewing the dream, they will not be affected. The character must respond in some way for it to work. However, this is of course OPTIONAL! It is possible for characters to not be affected at all.
        • The Dreamer. The dreamer will simply wake up and find themselves in whatever clothing they were wearing in the dream.

        • Clothing Change Within the Dream. During interactive dreaming, dreamwalking characters will find themselves suddenly in the clothing that matches said dream. Like the dreamer, it can either be a general style of the setting or character specific. The character’s clothing will then remain this way even after they leave the dream. They will be stuck in the costume until they view another dream.

        • Passive Watching. For those who are just passively watching the dream, they, too, can experience a sudden clothing change. However, they have two options. They can either have a costume from the dreamer's canon OR the canon in the dream. For example, Tamaki is dreaming of something from .hack and Lelouch is viewing it. Suddenly Lelouch finds himself dressed in a Host Club uniform OR something that would fit from .hack.
Remember. This is optional and if a player does not wish to participate, they do not have to. Just remember to mark the posts as either interactive or non-interactive.
  • Haunted Carnival. Remember the carnival? …probably not. The carnival remembers that it hasn’t been remembered and it’s back - in evil form. No longer the happy-go-lucky place that it used to be, it now has a sinister twist to it. No matter what time of day or night, the place is always open - and always dark. It’s as if light just bends around it. Is that also a fog that seems to hang around it? Why yes, yes it is. Once you walk in past the gates, you can’t get out alive. …okay, so you can get out alive, but not before experiencing some of the frights that the haunted carnival has to offer. Care for a ride in the tunnel of terror? Or how about some lovely brains on a stick? Come check it out.

  • Ghosts. Characters may see familiar faces around this moon cycle, but just who are these people? Why they’re the ghosts of canon friends. …or enemies. Whichever. In other words, characters can see the ghost of someone they know in canon. Of course, the ghost is of someone who isn’t currently in Somarium. For example, Harry can suddenly see Dumbledore wandering around or Tamaki is suddenly plagued by the ghost of his Grandmother. Of course, these ghosts aren’t always nice, either. They’re a bit… ghostly and can be evil. They just sort of hang around and may even look creepy and undead or are always staring, maybe making the character feel guilty about something. Being that they’re ghosts, they also don’t speak much so no matter how much a character tries to talk to them, there will never be anything spoken in response from the ghost. It’s up to the player on whether or not someone else can see the ghost and as always, this is optional.

That should be it. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns feel free to comment to this post.
