Weather: The days are warm but the nights are definitely getting cooler. The cool mornings are starting to be a bit more numerous as well. But mostly sunny days and comfortable temperatures for most of the days.

Effects: No real effects going on for dreams. However, some dreams may have random pumpkins in them, whether they realize it or not. Maybe just sitting there in the background, or maybe it's the subject. But there is a pumpkin. This applies for both non-interactive and interactive dreams and is of course optional.

Notes: Just a few minor notes about this week. Also, we're trying to fix the phases so that they're back on track, so the cycles will be longer throughout the month. Characters are free to notice.

• Applications. Applications are open! Remember we've changed our cycle, so now applications end on the 7th of each month!
  
  
• Fall is in the air. As summer fades into fall, it’s becoming more and more obvious that the last of summer has pretty much officially left. Evenings are getting cooler, days are getting shorter, and leaves are starting to change colors and fall from the trees. The local farmers are chatting about how they’re looking forward to the harvest soon and some are starting to stock up for the coming winter months. Those who live in the village will notice that locals are already starting to decorate for Halloween, putting up bats and cats and everything in-between. There is also a buzz among the locals that there’s a decorating contest going on that anyone can get in on for “scariest” decorations that’ll be given out on Halloween, but they’re a bit vague about the whole thing right now.
  
  
• Random pumpkins. Characters will find pumpkins showing up in the oddest places - under pillows, in cabinets, behind sofas, etc. Nobody quite knows how they got there or what why they’re even there in the first place. But they're there, so why not make the most of it?
  
  
• Scarecrows. The scarecrows have been seen around once again. Starting early in the week with just a few, their numbers are slowly growing and they seem to be gathering into groups. Characters will begin to notice that the scarecrows seem to be following them. However, after a character notices the scarecrow, it’ll stop following them and leave. As well, some of them seem to be a bit more aggressive. If caught alone, a character may find themselves being chased. Really, it’s just malicious fun on the part of the scarecrow, but it’s good for a quick fright.
  
  
• Things that go bump in the night? While faint, characters may begin to notice strange sounds and shadows at night. Was that a whisper in the closet? The sound of horse hooves off in the distance? Is that shadow stranger than usual? It could simply be a trick of their imagination or just silly, childish fear. Nothing is there, of course. The noises are faint enough to not notice at all, so don't worry if someone else considers you crazy for mentioning them.
  
  
• Player plots. As always, we like to mention player plots whenever we see them in case other players might miss it on their own.
  • Final murder. Daniella has once again claimed lives. The victims this time are Naoto, Elena, and Aya. The OOC post can be found here.
  If there were any player plots that we've missed, just let us know and we will edit this section! We'll also be throwing up a generic "player plot" discussion post next weekend to tie in with something else we have planned for this month (hint: treats are for lamers, so why not go with a trick?), so if you have any Halloween ideas or just general player plots you've been wanting to do, start thinking those up and get ready to pitch them. They do not have to be related to the game plot in any way. Note: this will be different than the general CR Meme, which is held later in the month. Also, in case you're wondering, we're waiting until after the application cycle closes to post this particular post so that new players can join in on the fun.
