This U2/Green Day hybridization that's on the telly right now is kind of freaking me out.

In addition to the national crappiness of today, I just found out that some friends of mine lost their horses in a barn fire over the weekend.  All four of these people had owned horses that died in the barn fire that killed my horse nine years ago this month. Seriously. WTF ( Read more... )

Hilarity of the day: Wil Wheaton reviewing the worst episode of Next Generation.

Okay. This is a promise to myself: Self, next year you are *going* to Dragon*Con. Dammit. It's only 40 minutes away! Then you can geek out properly in the presence of many, many other geeks. And not geek out in front of your computer.

Ok Go actually pulled off their dancing treadmills routine! Go them!

Right now the best thing about being in grad school?

Negative participation points.

Which basically means that if you're an asshole about commenting excessively in class, you can hurt your participation grade.

So finally  the people who need to take a few minutes to think of something worthwhile to say (namely...me) can actually contribute!
