Oh this was great! As much as Gwen got on my nerves on the show, your Gwen is how she should have been. I loved her comforting Ianto, acknowledging that she makes mistakes too.

I was so excited to see you had signed up for hc_bingo. Can't wait to see what else you come up with!

<3 I love Gwen in all of her incarnations, but I know where you're coming from. And I am glad that you are excited for hc_bingo! :D I'm excited for the rest of it. Hopefully it isn't terrible or ridiculous. H/C is hit-or-miss for me. Also I'm not terribly good at it.

Thanks for reading, and enjoying. ;D

SO MUCH LOVE FOR THIS FIC. ♥ ♥ ♥

You capture the Gwen from canon perfectly, and Ianto too. Gwen is always the one to keep the team pushing on, when things seem hopeless, and I can really see her doing this.

This is simple but eloquent. The stormy sea/Ianto analogy was a little heavy-handed at the end, but actually all the better for it. And oh, Transatlanticism, yes please.

Is it wrong that I kept thinking of Buttercup and her far-away look when she said, "with eyes like the sea after a storm"?

Heee, I was waiting for someone to be like "OMG DCFC!" It FIT, man. Also all I listened to while I was writing this was a piano cover and ten minutes of rain sounds looping for four hours.

I'm glad you liked it!

Ooh, a piano cover? I admit, I have a little more than a passing fancy for strings groups (like Vitamin String Quartet) covering popular songs. And I've been known to listen to whatever the chime sound is at the end of 'Sleep Don't Weep' for ages.

Mrrp!

As someone else said above me, this is the Gwen the show didn't give me but who I so badly wanted. And Ianto...oh, Ianto.

Excellent as always.
