The decision to pause on the writing has helped.  I was pinning too much on it... but the funny thing is, I can't stop writing.  It's WHY I'm writing that's changed.  I'm not thinking of "what might be"... I'm just writing because I love it.  I might even still take commissions, but I'm only going to ask a pittance donation... and take only the ( Read more... )

hurrah for doing well.

I had a break from writing recently and since going on holiday I'm getting a new 'wind' of inspiration. Very nice feeling.

Funny how much easier the writing becomes when you're not attacking it like its something that needs to be, isn't it?

Not to sound all know it all/high and mighty, but isn't that what I told you to do before? Write for you and your pleasure and the rest is gravy. That's when your writing will shine and others will get the most out of what you do because you put love and joy into the words on the page.

Same happened for me. I've been angsting about not writing stuff lately, I stopped, and suddenly the words are almost pouring out. *kicks at muse* Though I've never been in a situation where I was getting paid for my creative writing. But I clam up just as much for my technical writing at work and in school.
