The Return to the Kink Meme

In my attempt to get back to doing fandom the way I used to do fandom before, I jumped head-first into the Sherlock Kink Meme (both the archive on LJ, and the active(ish) one on DW). And so far it's been... brilliant? Sort of

Hello! Giving this LJ thing another try, and also not going to bed quite yet :P

Do you think the fic meme will pick up again once there's an influx of new canon? I wonder if it's also fewer people are still active on the meme as well as "the fandom is so huge that things have been written already". (I say this not having touched the fic meme since .... well, since I saw the first SMS stories years ago, so not that I know anything, but here it is!)

And good look finding short pieces to write! Sometimes (and I know it's odd coming from me) you just have to kick things out and post them. You can always come back to them later!

Not sure if it's new canon it needs. LJ was not very active when it moved, and moving probably didn't help its cause.

If I could only manage to just write those short things and not the just beginning and realising that it will become fifteen pages :(

Ah, right, I'd forgotten that the fic meme is on DW now. Imagine how active (and also how wanky) it would be if it were on Tumblr! (Assuming that you could somehow get a fic meme on Tumblr, anyway.)

Alas... there was an attempt for a kink meme on Tumblr, but it really didn't work.
