My email is being weird, so I'll just reply both places. Sorry you may be getting this twice!

I enjoyed it, although Marlene's death came a little fast, so I think for your next death scene you might want to pace it a bit more slowly. Still, it's very tragic, and I can only imagine what Peter will feel. At the same time, what a sicko. It's a weird mix of emotions, which I hope is what you were going for?

Thank you!

I needed to pace this quicker because of how many deaths are yet to come! (There are 7 more in total...) But i agree. Also Peter is by this point quite misunderstanding the point...Guess you will have to read the next chapter to find out how he reacts!

Also being that she was already dead made it easier for me as the others will be quite drawn out. I wanted to feel more quick because that is how it feels personally in real life. Its the mourning that will continue long after they are gone.

I like what you're doing with Peter here! (I mean, not "like", lol, but it makes for a great story.) Even as he's afraid of Voldemort and the Death Eaters, even as he hesitates to betray his closest friends, still he has these little flashes of hoping that now that he's a spy, he'll finally earn some respect.

And wow, does Marlene misread Peter. Rrggh.

For me some of the best parts of literature is trying to understand a person even when we know he's doing the wrong thing - and he knows he's doing the wrong thing - having persuaded himself that he is doing the right thing.

And also, when character misread each other to the audiences's chagrin, because when I know something another character doesn't it means trouble and my stomach usually sinks.

I'm very glad you're enjoying this :D
