mmmm. I've never tried golden beets but they sound yummy even though I'm only learning to like regular beets. Do the prices get any cheaper towards the end of the day at the farmers markets? There was one in Boston where the vendors started discounting like crazy in the last hour or so just so they wouldn't have to drag it all home again.
