There were very few people who Jaina would actually invite dress shopping, let's put it that way. But the fact was, it was Jaina's last prom, she had a not-boyfriend coming in, and those two things combined meant that her usual shopping method of walking into a store and picking the first thing in a color she didn't find horrible might not work so

"Aww, come on," Rose teased, pulling out a bright pink dress to tease Jaina with. "You know you love it. You'll be sad when there's no more high school dances to go to ad mock."

"I don't mock, I mingle and dance and try not to die in heels," Jaina said, making a face at the dress. "And when I get away from the high school dances, it's on to banquets where I can at least get away with my robes."

"Are you looking forward to wearing a uniform for the rest of forever?" Rose asked, snicking at Jaina's face as she put the dress back. Not that she had a purpose for asking the question.

"I've been wearing one for years now, what's the rest of a lifetime?" she shrugged, looking back to the dresses. "It helps that the uniforms are comfortable, at least. Well, not the military uniform, but the flightsuit."
