We lost.

45% of Scots voted YES to an independent, democratic, fairer Scotland.

55% voted against.

Some voted No because they were gullible enough to believe Westminster's promises of 'significantly more powers' for Scotland within the Union. Here's the timetable offered:

I'm seeing conflicting information from different sources. While at least one source reported that Ed Miliband is backing out, the BBC today has Gordon Brown confirming that everything is on track, just a few days late, with the initial motion being placed before Westminster on Monday.

Last night No supporters were celebrated by rioting in Glasgow, with shouts of 'Sieg Heil' and Nazi salutes.

Are they actually equating *themselves* with Nazis? Which... I guess the rampant nationalism might fit, but they can hardly think it a positive association? Or are they attempting to accuse people who want independence of being Nazis out of some vague idea of GB as it is being a Nazi-fighting force? That's even more absurd.

Stupidity. It is the hardest thing to defeat, truly.
