Yay! So does noon meet-up sound reasonable to you?

Yep. Sounds reasonable. I don't think we need more planning except decide on a meeting point and time.

Always up to it! Don't know when I will arrive tho, but later is never a problem. :D
Fireworks is a MUST!

There are enough supermarkets around to get booze. ;D
No Japan Day without food stalls! Just... space might be a bit sparse.

Is there anything the well-provisioned Japan day visitor should bring along? I really have no idea what to expect.

Yeah, it's pretty famous by now. Can't believe I've never been before. :)

PARTY SOUNDS GREAT! :D
And since it's on a saturday, 12-ish is no problem at all!

When I went (which was 3 years ago, so no clue if they changed that) they only had expensive Japanese beer. But there are some bars and cafes around, so booze shouldn't be that much of a problem. ;)

LJ is behaving strange again, I never got a notification from your answer T_T

edit: this LJ app is clearly not working correctly. Not amused. T_T

Anyway, Japan Day. Have a lot of patience, DDorf will be run over by people. Furthermore if you don't plan to survive on stalls, don't go to a Japanese restaurant. The lines I saw there every year were very long. T_T

Otherwise be aware of Cosplayers :D Usually it's worth checking out the program if you wanna see something. Sometimes they have quite a good show going on, I especially liked the Taiko drummers a year ago. :D Additionally the fireworks is always worth the trouble!

Patience. Hm. I wonder if they sell that at Tesco's. >_>

I am sort of planning to survive on stalls, but will be flexible. :) Program... yeah, I need to have a closer look...

If they sell it in heaps, get me some as well, don't you?

What I always disliked was the big waiting gap between everything closing down and the fireworks... but this year I'll have you ladies and all the other fun stuff we'll come up with. ;D
