Happy New Year!

Jan 01, 2010 08:30

Went to bed at two. Have been up since six. WTF is with that? k_julia got up briefly, too, then declared this to be ridiculous and went back to bed. But I feel too awake for that. Guess I'll crash sometime in the afternoon ( Read more... )

Aren't fruit juice cocktails nice? I like OJ and Capt. Morgan's Spiced rum. Capt. Morgan is also good with Coke. Creme Soda, too.
Sounds like you had a lovely evening. Good for you.

Happy New Year!

Hey, a Methos icon! Let me bring out dear old Dunkie. :-)

Spiced rum sounds good. I don't have any in the house, but I have ginger wine which goes very well with some fruit liqueurs.

Happy new year to you, too.

I am leading a one-woman campaign to bring back Highlander stories with Methos. Failing that, putting Methos in crossovers -- everywhere, in every genre. Lalala.

Oh, ginger wine. That sounds nice. I went on a liqueur making spree once. Even made a tomato liqueur. It was brilliant in salad, tomato sauces, even in regular sauces, because it was pale yellow and clear.

I like to make champagne sauce in pan-cooked steak.

Gah, I think it's dinnertime. Lalala

Happy New Year!

What, there are HL stories without Methos? What for? Who's in them? **iz puzzled**

You can have your own zombie tonight! I might try to find out if sex on the beach is possible with our resources.

Jin and his cloak was so... wonderfully letter-of-the-law. 'Right, if I have to go on stage with that, watch me go on stage with that.'

We might even finish the monster epic.

Does this count as a New Year's resolution? 1. Join a gym. 2. Buy more organic meat. 3. Finish epic whorefic romance.

Yep, works for me.

I'm sure we can find a beach for you somewhere in the Forth estuary...

(But unfortunately this household is a vodka-free zone. No screaming orgasms for you, either.)

Yep, that's kind of the way I feel right now. Hope I'm not jinxing the entire year by being so optimistic about it.

Happy New Year to you, too! And to J., of course! :-) I see you managed to stay up after midnight, too.

It finally caught up with me at 2pm, though, so I had to take a little nap. Just got up again, and now we're ready to plan the next round of cocktails. :-)

And the same to you and A. I did indeed, well 'up' isn't quite correct, laptop and I were in bed along with a glass of brandy.

How did the cocktails go? Did you have fun?

Hope your body clock gets itself settled soon! Four hours of sleep is not enough unless you are a) Kame or b) a British Prime Minister.

I'm still downloading Countdown myself, but have now heard the fanrecording of the two new songs, at least. I think the new single will be quite entertaining when it appears!

I'm very glad the concert managed to get you to appreciate Moon! I'm hoping they'll keep it in the set list for next year, since Jin clearly likes it a lot. And I can't get enough of them twirling the umbrellas ( ... )

I was surprised that The D-Motion actually sounds better in the fan recording than in the CM; I wasn't all that impressed by it in the CM but there's a much heavier beat in the fan recording which makes me like it. Love yourself sounds like it could be nice, yes. Admittedly, the title made Julia and me break out in helpless giggles when it first appeared online, but that's because our minds live in the gutter anyway these days. We'll get over it and remember to act like adults soon enough.

Hope you have a good holiday. Good holidays, plural. I wanna go to Japan, too... the stopovers in Narita and Kansai airports made me realize how much I just wanted to stay there for a few months. :-(

I quite liked The D-Motion in the CM (once I stopped being dazzled by the gold and the stupid title) mainly because I did catch hints of the heavier beat, but it's definite b-side material only. See, my mind must not be far enough in the gutter because my first thought on Love Yourself was that it was perfect for YamaNade, which is all about having more confidence and loving yourself before you can expect other people to love you etc. ^_^

Thank you! Do you have any other travel plans for the year, or is it a bit early to be asking that sort of thing?
