Nearly done with the second gimazelle, Kit munched on the remaining hunk of meat, a leg, until he heard a beeping.

Confused, he sat up, loin still in his mouth, and cocked his head, peering down at the small black box strung around his neck. He hadn't even realized it was there, but it was the only thing that could be making that beep noise.

Lifting it awkwardly, he clicked it open, eyes focusing on the small screen to see that Rory had sent a message. It took him a moment or two to determine how to reply, but once he did, and finished off the meat, he clumsily managed a message in return.

"Ah. Oh, dear, I do hope this is correct. I suppose we shall see, but in any case, I will make my return. It will not be long."

He considered a moment, then simply clicked the thing shut, letting it fall back around his neck before opening his wings and taking off.
