X'enodrove followed behind the small girl, who he was swiftly beginning to think of as his little mistress. Perhaps that was presumptuous of him, to think of her as his. Actually it was highly presumptuous, but he wouldn't say anything about it, and hoped he wouldn't be so stupid as to ACT possessive. He shuddered at the thought.

He looked in wonder at the strange buildings that they passed. They were so different from anything he had ever seen, either in the Underground or Above. They were not cut out of the rock, nor were they built in the trees. They were not made of mud, wood, or stone. Their construction was so very... linear. He frowned a little at the unadorned structures, momentarily displeased by the lack of sculpture and carvings.

"Where are we headed, Mistress?"

Simera pointed to the left, "I went that way last time, so I'm gonna go this way this time and look at new things and maybe find better stuff." She gave X'enodrove a smile as she continued to lead him along. "And if I go on a trip every day, then I'll learn where all the things are near here. Then maybe I can take longer trips and learn the stuff farther away."
