Edwin had only ever been in an airport as a passenger. There had to be ways for the employees to get down from the gates to the tarmac but he had no idea where those routes would be. He ended up out on the edge of one of the loading gates, looking out over the area the noise had come from.

Of course, "looking" was relative. His magical blindsight did no cover enough distance for him to see what was out there, not even if there were any planes out on the strips. Edwin sighed and ran a hand over his bandaged eyes. He hated jumping into the unknown like this. Still...

He raised his voice and called out into the open darkness. "Hello? Is someone out there? I can't see, so if you are, please say something."

The voice caught her off guard, and Ashe's attention snapped up. A man stood, calling out, in a terminal not far from her. By his stance, and the tone of his voice, he held no more hostility than the caution of one who didn't know what to expect. If what he said was true, she didn't blame him.

Drawing closer, she called back to him. "Yeah, there is someone out here. Though I'm not exactly sure where here is...." As she approached, she could make out details. She saw the bandages over his eyes and the blood on them, but noted that it was old, and the offset stains pointed more towards a reused bandage. The pattern of the blood on his pants suggested that, at least, was not his own. Still.... "Are you injured?"

Looking around, Ashe tried to spot a way to get up to him if such were the case. It looked like there had once been stairs leading up to the boarding path, but those had decayed, breaking in half and dangling from the platform. She might be able to get up that way, but it would take some doing....

So there was someone down there. He could approximately tell where she was by sound and turned in that general direction, leaning on his cane so that he had a bit more balance on the less than secure platform. The voice sounded female and from the ground but he still couldn't see her. "Ah hello. I'm alright now, mostly. I fear you have me at a bit of a disadvantage since I can't see you, but my name is Edwin Taliver. A new arrival here, much as yourself I imagine. Apparently people are randomly pulled here from different worlds, but I've only met two others and they have since departed for more settled places, so my information is limited ( ... )

Ashe stepped aside when asked, watching with interest as Edwin lept from the walkway, and cringing a bit as he hit the ground. Chuckling, she went to where the cane had landed, picking it up. It was heavier than a cane that size should be, and she turned it over briefly, getting a feel for the weight. Then, she went back over to Edwin, and leaned over him.

"Well, that was an... interesting idea." She was smiling a little as she said this. Reaching down, she took hold of Edwin's arm with her free hand, and hauled him to his feet. "I'm Ashe Leonhart. It's nice to meet you, though, I would prefer if it were under better circumstances." Making sure he was steady, she handed him back his cane with a small, amused smirk. "You still alright?"

At least his acts of bravado amused her. He heard her steps approach and clasped her arm for balance as she helped him to his feet. She was obviously quite a bit shorter than him from the forces of leverage in action there. This was confirmed by his blindsight the moment he touched the cane. Ashe had a very military cut about her and the strength and poise to go with it. That reassured him quite a bit. There were worse people than soldiers to end up here ( ... )
