Character(s): Wimzle and Zeke
Content: Wimzle wakes up. For the first time.
Setting: That deadly wasteland known as the Hospital
Warnings: Possible terror and mayhem? Yeah right, it wishes.

This was a very strange Nightopia. It looked more like a Nightmare, but it certainly wasn't any part that Wimzle recognized. )

"Come out of there!" Wimzle shouted at the hole, floating upside down so that he could see into it better. It only went a short ways before there was another bit of wall and the beasty must have turned to the side. "ARGH! WHERE IS EVERYBODY?!" it shouted in frustration, somersaulting upright and glowering at the landscape ( ... )

"You've got some nerve!" Wimzle declared, putting its hands on its hips. "You think you're pretty scary, huh? You got nothing!" With that, it reached into its sleeve and pulled out a glittering domino mask. One of the beasties lunged forward and Wimzle zipped up in the air a few feet. "Now you really asked for it!" it shouted and slipped the mask into place. No sooner had the mask touched its nose than Wimzle's entire body shifted, growing larger and deforming into something hellish and more than twice the size of the beasties.

Wimzle's paws slammed into the ground and it grinned through multiple rows of shark-like teeth. The beasties took a few steps back, watching it intently. Wimzle let out a roar that was quite a bit louder (and a bajillion times scarrier!) than the beasties had.

Their ears flattened down and they sank low to the ground, glaring redly up at Wimzle before one suddenly bolted and the others decided it had the right idea. "AHAHAHA! RUN PUSSY-CAT RUN!" Wimzle shrieked and took off after them.

There was a someone watching from the shadows, and it was a someone that was far more scared by where it had woken than where it had run to.

Zeke watched, ears flicking and tail as thick as a bottle brush, as the new things (were they mods? or something else?) ran from yet another creature. Eyes wide and reflecting the red light as greenish flashes, he kept back, his breathing from the run he'd taken finally evening out. And it seemed like everything out here was simply ridiculous, far less worrisome even than the- as he thought back, he came to the conclusion- abandoned hospital lab area.

In fact, the worst part about this place, as far as he could tell, was the complete lack of anything resembling a good shelter. The plus side was the lack of anything making him want to take said shelter. Animals he could deal with; humans were another thing entirely. And... whatever that weird blue thing was, well. He hoped he was faster than it, if necessary.

Wimzle ground to a halt in its pursuit of the beasties and sniffed at the air. There was fear on it. A whole different level of fear than the beasties' frenzied flight response. The smell seemed to be fading now, but there had definitely been fear. The rich, delicious fear of a visitor.

It sniffed carefully, turning around slowly until it caught sight of someone standing cloaked in shadow. A visitor! What fun! The corners of Wimzles mouth pulled back into a horrific, jagged grin and a low, growling sort of laughter bubbled in its throat as it began to advance slowly towards its new playmate.

The back of Zeke's neck bristled, his tail poofing and ears laid back, but the fear that had previously held tight in his throat had dissipated, replaced with animosity and an exceedingly powerful will to live. In fact, the fear was nothing compared to the rather misplaced thought that the creature looked... kind of stupid.

Hunched in his hiding place and unwilling to move, Zeke bared his teeth, hoping not to have to fight whatever this was, willing to run away if it came to that.
