He smiled over to Phantasy. "It would. It might be too traumatic for her if she woke up in the arms of a stranger." He looked back down at the girl. "You're safe," he told her. "You're with friends."

Though her eyes didn't open, Ahime shifted slightly, a barely heard mutter coming from her lips.

Adobe frowned deeply. She was coming out of it fast. Faster than she should have been.

"I don't know if its going to help, hun. She's fighting off those sedatives already. Come on, let's hurry," she ordered, picking up her pace and hoping they'd follow.

"I'm not going to use sedatives," Phantasy said quietly, her eyes going unfocused as she gently pressed against the girl's consciousness, holding it in a shallow, dreamless sleep. "It's that building there." She pointed. "I'm sorry, could one of you walk ahead of me, it's difficult to mind where my feet are going when I'm concentrating on her mind."

"Of course," he replied to Phantasy. He looked to Adobe. "Sorry, but could you...?" he smiled sheepishly. He wasn't at all confident in walking backward on such uneven ground.
