Adobe was jumpy. Understandably so after everything that had happened. Trekking through an expanse of mostly empty parking lot in plain view of any hungry thing that might catch the scent of blood practically wafting from the group wasn't making her nerves any less tense and jangled. She just wanted to make it to the damn fountain without incident, but she knew fate was cruel, cruel bitch and things were never allowed to be that easy ( ... )

"Don't scare the poor boy, Adobe!" Ares' voice came out sharper than she'd meant it to, fueled by the alarm when she'd seen the gun turned on the creature. She dropped Kelly's hand and walked over to the new arrival, focusing a beguilement so that the man would attend to her and remain calm. There wasn't enough time to reason with anyone now, that could be worked out after they reached the fountain. "I'm afraid introductions will have to be made underway. This area is not safe and you are very lucky that we found you before we left. Please come with us immediately and we can explain the situation to you as we move to a more secure location."

Startled, Zeek had spun a little too quickly towards the voice. The edges of his vision turned brown, and he tilted oddly, cupping a hand to his face. At his reaction, Lessa's head lowered, and a low growl sounded in her throat. Blinking, the boy mumbled an automated apology.

"S- sorry...." He waved his free hand at the dog, trying in vain to clear his head. "Knock it off...." The rumbling stopped, and she let out a quiet huff instead, still keeping a wary eye on the newcomers.

He gave an absent nod in response to the second voice. "Yeah, o-okay...."

Sam saw how unsteady he was, and moved closer to him. "Hold still, I'm a doc-" he stopped short when Lessa got up and started barking again, in that way dogs did against vampires. He tried to walk around her, only to see her meet his path. He glanced around. This was going to be a problem. He scratched at the back of his head. He needed to get inside, his scalp, the top of his nose and cheeks, and the back of his neck was starting to tingle like a severe sunburn, though he'd had nowhere near the amount of exposure that would be necessary for that kind of problem in humans.

"It's okay," he told the dog. "I'm not going to hurt him." He cast around to see if anyone else had a solution.

Kelly just sort of stood in the background, scratching the back of his neck with one hand. He would never get used to people just... Appearing.

Back home, he didn't think anything of stumbling into new people left and right, but in Solluna, every new face was a possible threat.

At least this one was a cute threat, though.

He kept out of the conversation, just observing the group from a few feet away. He did offer a small, polite wave and a smile to the other teenager, though, before adjusting his guitar strap and glancing over one shoulder.

He really, really hated being outside..
