"Come on, lady. Use your head. If he went out there with all that's going on, it's not safe. Let him do what he has to," Richie said to the red head firmly, grip remaining tight on her arm as an assurance that she wouldn't some how break free from him. She was a slight thing, but he'd seen that alchemy first hand - he wouldn't underestimate the girl just because she was young and built so tiny.

He did relax a little, though, and forced a faint, worried smile.

"I think he's probably crazy, too, but he obviously knows what he's doing. Amazing power or not, this is something he needs to take care of, okay?"

Flicker decided that opening the building's door would take too much time and would be a real hassle with an armful of woman. He was pretty sure that Kitty could pull off the trick she did with Rosa, so he confidently strode through, phasing through the door. Two steps of concentration and he looked up as Ana's scream rang out.

He solidified. "Good golly, Miss Molly! I didn't mean to startle you , Miss Ana. Can you two look after Lady Kasuga here?" He laid Niji down gently on the floor. "I'm heading back out to bring in Ghost and the kid, Kororen. Duncan will be along shortly."

Flicker turned to leave as he came. "The shooting is all over, so to speak, but we don't want the locals to get any ideas about wounded folks being on the menu." He walked through the door and sidestepped out of Ani's way.

Phantasy was feeling light-headed and very tired as she and Ani made their way into the Bakery, past the Flicker. She looked up and took in Ana's startled and upset face and smiled wearily. "I'm sorry. There was an accident. Everybody's going to be fine, they're just shaken up..." she paused, frowning softly. "But I don't know about that girl... I don't know if she could ever be fine... There's something terrible inside of her."

Ani was almost surprised by the Yellow Flicker's absolute disregard for solid matter, but after the flying, and everything else that had happened in the past 24 hours, it really did seem like a waste of energy. He reached out to actually open the door for himself and Phantasy, and left it open for Rosa to follow

Rosa sighed at Ani's introduction. She was tired and hungry and scared and she didn't even know what else, so she interpreted his tone as sarcasm. She glared out the door after him as he walked out.

"What exactly happened out there? I mean, it's obvious someone or something attacked everyone, but..."
