Q'tenahasherzi took the coat without ado, thankful that it was a sensible human that had found him in this state. Of course, he also noticed that the human was tired, as well, as if he'd had magic that he'd spent too much of.

He seemed, however, to be taking it in stride, and at least far from the point that any more would cause him to become faint. As well it should be, anyway, as Q'tenahasherzi didn't do well with humans who had fainted.

"Ah..." said the boy, as he pulled the jacket across his shoulders and closed the front. "Yes, this seems an appropriate course of action. But... why must such items of clothing so much larger than required? So much space is not needed; it could be tailored to contain more supplies without becoming so..." He hunted for the correct word, and when nothing came to him, resorted to a human one that seemed vaguely appropriate, yet made him wrinkle his nose all the same, "...Floppy."

The lines of Rory's face had drawn deep, still and void of any energy besides the automatic motions of his arms as he'd clothed the newcomer to the best of his current ability.

"Self tailoring is not one of my preferred skills," he answered blandly, held on his feet by only the eerie, mesmerizing glow of the boy's eyes. "I seek what is suitable without need for drastic altering. For myself, this is sufficient. Others are simply frivolous."

The sigh that fled him left his throat itchy and raw, and Rory motioned toward the hatch as he continued. "We should take you down to meet the others..." There was no conviction in his tone, the sentiment echoed in his slack arms and dull eyes.

One last time, he willed himself to speak, neutral, colorless tone belying a far more intense exchange that was battling behind the words. "What is your name?"

The boy looked up at him, considering. He supposed it made sense. Frivolity seemed a scourge among most humans.

Idly, too, he wondered how long the meeting of 'others' would take. Wondered if his magic would last long enough for him to leave for rest. Propriety required that he at least give his name, however. Especially in light of this human's kindness, although it may have been exhaustion-induced.

"Q'tenahasherzi Sszaroranthaan."

The convoluted string of syllables, Rory decided, were most definitely foreign in their language. And so many in number, he suspected there might have been an entire formal greeting being conveyed there. A single eyebrow rose despite his fatigue, synonymous with his suppression of the urge to say 'geshundeit' in reply to the boy.

"No need to be so formal," he responded instead, tone still cool and only slightly interested in the what was before him, preoccupied with what lay behind. "Is there something... simpler we could call you by? For convenience's sake, as those here are from environments quite different from one another."

Rory's glassy eyes narrowed, inspecting the boy's own as the analytical nature of his mind refused to take a backseat to current troubles, and he instead allowed it to autopilot his thoughts in the feeble hope of leaving some of the less favorable ones behind.

Q'tenahasherzi tilted his head, then drew himself up to his full height (quite a bit shorter than Rory.) If he'd still had a tail, it would have filliped almost like a cat's in consideration.

"That is... simply my full name, as you asked. Q'tenahasherzi is acceptable; my kin and elders refer to me as such." Again, a pause, as he mused over another name, one quite different from his given, but still one that he answered to.

"Kit," he said after a moment, "is also usable. It was given me by a friend, a hum- a person that helped me previously." He couldn't believe he'd almost let himself slip; as it was, he didn't know this human's capability, and being male, he could be more dangerous than the elves previously encountered.
