A numbness had set in Rory's jaw for the intensity of the clench that gripped it as he struggled not to shoot a closing remark at Ana on their way back into the main foyer. There were more pressing things to tend to, and the possible source of Micas' own tension was revealed when Simera came bounding happily toward them, addressing him first and so gleefully that he was probably expected to be happy about a giant, rotting, mutant corpse just outside the perimeter ( ... )

Micas laughed a small silent laugh when Simera voiced her own concern so simply.

She nodded when Rory addressed her, guessing at her intentions and giving her leave to deal with it. It made her happy to realize that people recognized her talents, but it still felt strange to be thanked for doing what she could only ever consider her job. Her life's work to protect and feed her tribe. She blushed semi-transparent, but smiled all the same, before heading to collect her tools and see what from the monster was usable and what simply needed disposing of.

As she took her leave, she caught Rory's comment of concern for Nei'ess. It elicted another soundless chuckle from her, how much people seemed to underestimate Nei'ess' strength and resilience, just because he chose to remain at the library.

Simera had blasted by Ana in order to run to Rory. Why, Ana would never understand, but she didn't stick around to question it. Simera had taken to him when really, no one else would, and for all Ana's contempt of the man she figured it had to have its merits.

Continuing onward, not even stopping to see if Hex was going to follow, she went out to the courtyard and began gathering things from their supplies to give to the new woman. Once loaded in to her arms, she headed back, humming something softly to herself as she walked.

"...The others, they'll bring him back, won't they? It's too dangerous for him to walk back by himself," Hex tried, glancing at Rory and feeling slightly more of a twinge of guilt. No one in their right mind would go out into that world by themselves. At least, Hex hoped so. And he kept having to push back the urge to go and get Nei'ess himself.

He glanced after Ana then, seeing her disappear into the courtyard, and hesitated. "It-... he'll call if he needs us, right?" he continued, his body language suggesting the conversation was over as he backed away to follow his sister.

Penny had made it up the stairs last, having to carefully maneuver the hulking armor suit BACK UP the flight up stairs. It was harder than going down. Thankfully, she didn't stumble and fall. Once back on the first floor, Penny found a good wide open area and began manually disassembling the armor.

It would take her a good twenty minutes to get out of it. First the arms, the head and torso, and the legs would be the last. The pieces that covered her hands would be the last to come off. By the first minute, she was swearing up a storm. Struggling how to remember getting out of this thing.
