I personally believe the more appropriate action is emptying a wineskin onto a green slime, and then setting it on fire.

So so so many hours/days/weeks spent making up worlds, characters and stories. Good times with friends until the sun comes up and walks to 7-11. Pouring over books for some arcane rule ;) Collecting dice just for the sake of collecting them.

Those old AD&D books.... with their bad art, were talismans to me in my youth. My folder, my 'world' is still one of my most prized possessions.

/salute to the Original DM!

You have a Folder, too? Mine's been upgraded several times with duct tape and nerdish scrawling with a sharpie, but at its core it's 19 years old.

Man, a 7-11 within walking distance would have been a blessing! We were a good 5 miles from the nearest store, and that sucker sure wasn't 24 hour. We had to be a bit more proactive with our snack/soda accumulation.

Man, I miss our "Old Yeller" 6-sider. It was a bit larger than average, and was great for Shadowrun, because it seemed that once it rolled a 6, it just wouldn't stop! We prized that sucker above all other 6-siders.
