So, this year is promising to be absolutely insane for me. At least 6 people will be coming into town throughout the year, and most of them will be staying with us (all unexpected up until January, but all close enough to warrant crash space while they're here...one I'm particularly riled up about, but am working on letting go of that irritation).

Clary sage 3 drops
Lavendar 3 drops
Juniper or Cedarwood 3 drops
in 1 oz. almond or grapeseed oil. Mix and coat the bottoms of your feet with a palmful each foot, twice a day, and rub it in. It helps when I have to cope with crowds of people and am afraid of absorbing their emotions.
All are available from your local healthfood store. There are other mixtures too if you'd like to research aromatherapy. This is the only thing that backed off other people's emotions for me for a long time.
