Thank you for your input!
I didn't know about the full moon being a good time to get rid of negativity, so I will definitely do the cleansing on a full moon.

Hi Magdalan,
My name is Whitefeather & I felt compelled to add my voice to aid in your quest to cleanse your crystals.
I have found a couple of methods very useful. Both employ the use of sea salt and pure water. In a bowl (pottery or glass) put these ingredients and the crystals in direct sunlight. If that is not an easy option, then sit in meditation over your bowl, visualizing clean pure energy (perhaps white light or sunlight). Both methods have been very successful for me. I notice my crystals are physically clean as well have a cleaner, lighter energy.
Best of wishes on your journey.
Peace

That's a very appealing way to recharde my crystal. Thank you!

Welcome! I don't have an answer to your question but you may also want to check out the LJ community nonwiccanwitch. If you are at all interested in the Northern traditions you might want to pick up a copy of Freya Aswynn's Northern Mysteries and Magick by Llewellyn Publications and/or look into the Ring of Troth Europe group. Freya started as Wiccan but later moved into exploring the Northern mysteries (relating to the FUTHARK runes and Odin/Wodan traditions). Even if you aren't drawn to them particularly it is a really interesting book.

I realize that you've probably cleansed your crystal by this point, perhaps several times over, but I'd like to input some advice I've read on cleansing various objects from this community, and others, as well as various other sources. Running water is how I cleanse my jewelry, personally, but there are those who put out objects in a window for a night and a day, or during the light of the full moon. You can pass it through incense, as someone said earlier, or bury it. Also, depending on how well you visualize, I know people who can and do cleanse objects of negativity by repeatedly blowing away negativity with their breath. I also imagine you could cleanse by burning something, if it will hold up. That would be more useful for a cauldron of iron, or something similar, though...
