Almanacs

I hope everyone had a happy Samhain! I prayed and lit two taper candles; one for my maternal grandmother that passed away in May and another for the rest of my deceased ancestors. I'm not sure if I'll do it this exact same way next year but being relatively new on the path and having limited funds, it was a nice little ritual.

I love The Witches' Almanac. The Old Farmer's Almanac is very good for astrological purposes. The 2010 one also has a really funny article about Mark Twain. The Witches' has wonderful articles. I would go ahead and get both.

I use the LunaBar tool from Infra-Azure Labs. No articles, but lots of good astrological and astronomical info, plus quotes from lore and poems related to the moon and the seasons, etc..

Seconded. It has a very handy task-bar icon that displays the phase of moon and what sign, so you can tell at a glance.

I actually used Llewellyn's almanac for this year, so far I feel its been a miss. Its my first time using an almanac at all, so idk if this comment will help any. =3
