Welcome to the community! I'm somewhat new to Wicca myself, but I'd like to suggest a book that was recommended to me by another member called The Circle Within. I haven't finished it, but it has been very enlightening and inspiring and I think you might get into it :)

I have Hedgewitch. I haven't started it though because I have been reading another one of hers called To Stir a Magick Cauldron...also very good reading. I just love her writing she makes things so easy to understand.

Just be sure to read books from a variety of authors--it helps to develop a more well-rounded point of view. Also, carefully consider everything that you read and don't accept anything blindly as the gospel truth.

Welcome to the board!

I am a very skeptical person by nature. It took me 5 months to accept the possibility that there could be a female half of God. Of course it makes perfect sense but being raised with a male God it was very hard to accept.

I am always on the hunt for a good book by different points of view.

Welcome.
I had the same thing happen to me. Once I read a Wiccan book (The Craft by Dorothy Morrison was my first, then many years later the second one i read was To Ride a Silver Broomstick) I just knew that I was meant to be Wiccan and that I had believed in it my whole life just without knowing.

My family is why it took me 8+ years to finally feel confident in practicing Wiccan. I was so concerned about hiding it because they are strong catholics. But now my immediate family knows and they are fine with it and I finally feel confident in it and myself.

I agree that you should read other authors as well. I feel that Silver Ravenwolf kind of has some 'off' facts or is not entirely correct or thorough enough.

I am trying to have a potted garden since I am terrified of snakes, although it limits what I can grow! :(

I am actually reading The Craft now. I am about half way through it. I really like the way she writes as well and she has many wonderful ideas.

That is a good question, but I haven't a clue...lol They sure do keep finding me though. I have actually had to turn away a few sweet ones because I am out of space in my small home. I have two I see at work at least three or four times a week and they get fed by me and I am assuming another soul as well because they don't always show up.

I do know that I have had a very strong connection to the feline since I was a small child and I can usually connect with even the aggressive ones. I get along with them better than most humans...
