Writing your Gods

Recently someone posted for help on a name for a fictional coven they were using in a series of stories. And it got me thinking, because I kind of met my patron by chance through some research for a novel that features him prominently--

I don't know; sometimes people use the names of the deities, and some may use the name of one of the deity's aspects. I'm reading this vampyre novel, where the original vampyres were the Amazons, and the vampyres worshiped Nyx, the Goddess of Night.
I don't know if there's any rule that you can't use real names with deities; if you don't feel comfortable with it, maybe look within and ask your deity what to do.
You could make something up. It's harder, but people do it all the time. That's why it's called "fiction".

If I was to write a book, I wouldn't change the names of deities. This causes a LOT of confusion for people new to the path. Instead, keep their names and research as many facts as you can find before writing.

I've noticed that with some writers, they some times changed the spelling of the name, so that phonetically it sounds the same.
