Just three more months! :D

Due to the given occasion of the MAD-TV show tonight (that I can't watch because the damn satellite dish is currently oriented towards the wrong satellite thanks to my mother and her telenovela-addiction ><;;), ( I present this year's first Eurovision Song Contest posting! )

stuff no one cares about, star trek, eurovision

Ist eh keiner so gut wie Uwe Kröger! Ich hab übrigens gelesen, dass er in Oberhausen (WARUM OBERHAUSEN VERDAMMT!) "Der letzte Tanz" vor Tarantellagra aufgeführt hat. VOLL FIES :(

It's that time again! <3

I am holding out to the theory that it was an over-interpretive writer who goofed. If it IS Khan, picking the lily-whitest of lily-white Englishmen to play him is not just wrong, it's...it's WRONG. (and then again the people making khaaaaaaaanberbatch jokes are clearly taking this the right way.)

Tomorrow will be the German NF and they'll probably choose something horrible but I'm still excited (and probably call for Cascada twice? I dunno yet).

I still think that JJ Abrams is either trolling or that Cumberbatch is neither Khan nor Gary Mitchell (I think he was American in the novel that featured him... which I haven't read for years so I don't know anymore). What I think would be possible would rather be that Cumberbatch is a surgically altered Klingon spy! I mean, one of the trailers (supposedly) features a Klingon planet or base. And wasn't it General Chang who said that Shakespeare was better in the Klingon original? ;)

I--I tried to like Cascada, and it didn't happen. My mom's a fan though, so yay?

I really hope he IS someone unique, yeah. I like the spy idea! Like the guy in the tribbles episode but, you know, with panache. Or at least brooding BAMFness. (The flip side of this is if they keep the genetic weird thing from Enterprise and he's a Klingon, end of sentence. :PPPPPPPPPPPPPP. And yes I do believe it was him. (Oh, hey, it was - he even has his own Wikipedia article. Nice!))

It's not that I wouldn't have liked something Khaaaan-centric but, yes, not Cumberbatch (on the other hand, it wasn't like Ricardo Montalban was Indian. However, I think back then they probably didn't have enough Indian or Pakistani actors - but they do now so they should hire one!). Personally, I'm generally not so fond of Klingons - my favourite aliens have always been and will always be the Romulans but unfortunately them appearing again that universe is unlikely ;_;.

I suppose Cumberbatch = surgically (or genetically?) altered young General Chang would be SO MUCH WIN! Bonus points if he quotes Shakespeare.

When I think about it, Klingons to me are probably like Cascada to you: I tried to like them but somehow... meh (apart from that I might actually call in for the Priests And The Opera Singer Doing Something Like Enigma? I just haven't heard the whole song yet so it will probably be a last minute decision).

That icon is super cute! ♥
