That sounds vaguely familiar. I'd love to hear more about what they were saying, even if you told me about it before! :D

I don't remember much of it, but it was something about beautiful vs. ugly societies and he tried to make a comparison. It was a Greek philosophy class, argh, I can't remember which philosopher exactly...but then he asked the class, "Does anybody read the Uglies young adult series? It's quite good." Nobody raised their hand, although I said I heard of it. He then explained the premise and how it connected to the lecture. He was a cool professor. Really knew the material (he used to teach it in the original Classical Greek) and had a wealth of references ranging from literature to late-night TV.
